Polaris would charge you an arm and a leg. Check around here on the forums. Or get in touch with swingarm1 (on here)...he rebuilds them, as well as sells used but in good shape motors.

just curious, what's the life expectancy of a stock motor with regular maintenance and normal riding conditions? I've got a 2008 with 250 hours on it and have never had any issues with the motor that I know of, still seems to run great. I've primarily used mine on construction sites, not a lot of hard riding or sustained high speed riding either. Does adding mods shorten the life span? I've put on a Muzzy dual exhaust, UMP filter, and a bored out throttle body from Holz.

 

I have over 12,000 miles on my 08 RzR. I don't know how many hours.
at about 10,000 miles it started using a little more oil than it should. it got worse at about 11,000 miles. some where after 12,000 miles I got caught way out and had to do a long run at higher speed than I normally run and it used up all the oil in the crank. I started hearing the lifters ticking and stopped to check the oil and just a touch on the stick. I had 2 miles left to go and no help out where I was. I took a chance and lost. as I idleded in the last 1/4 mile it seized up just as I pulled into camp. now I am looking for a new Motor. I don't know of any body getting over 12,000 miles yet on a 2008-800 RzR.
