Howdy yall, I'm new to the forum and hopefully soon a RZR Owner myself. I do alot of riding in the Mountains of Southwest Virginia and Eastern Kentucky and would like to know what would be better for my riding situation, Lots of Mud, Wooded Trails, some open spaces(but very few), lots of river crossings and streams. I have personally never even rode a Side by Side but have owned numerous ATV's and Dirtbike's. I'm tired of crusing around on them and would now like to experience the thrill of owning a RZR. Please post your opinions and what experience you have had with your 900XP or 800S and what you would do in my situation. Thank You!

The people that own an XP are going to tell you an XP, those that own an 800 S are goimg to tell you an S. Try to find a dealer that will let you drive both and make up own mind.

We drove an XP and an S and bought the 800 S. For riding on the mountain trails and the street riding we do, the S has all the power and features we need, and the money saved by buying the S can be spent on add ons.

We bought the 800S LE and are very happy with it overall.. Not as much power as the 900xp but we are never in the dunes,, more tight twisty trails for us and the power of the 800s is plenty. We hardly ever hit a trail that we can go over 30-35mph so all the extra mid-topend speed of the XP we would never use it.

When we do hit a open trail the 800s will hit mid 50mph range pretty fast. We have never thought yet "we need more power/speed"..

We also liked that the 800S LE comes with Bighorn tires, Fox shocks, painted plastics/a-arms, and seats with a little color..

Howdy...I too had never driven a rzr other than a short test drive in a 800s on the dealers property. I ended up getting a new 2012 900 xp ten days ago for a great deal due to the2013 in the showroom. I can tell you the xp exceeded my expectations by miles, the way it eats up the bumps and power is great. I found suspension and power much better than the s even though my experience with the s was on a test track at the dealers.People spend lots of cash on their s to upgrade and still end up alot of the time with a machine no more capable than the xp. That is what made my decision and I am so glad I went with the xp NO regrets at all just a win win situation. Polaris was spot on with the xp. Just my 2cents, hope this helps and sorry for the long post but just cant express how happy I am with the xp.,
