well the service manual say's to use polaris premium u-joint grease on all grease points so i just ordered some as my local dealer does not stock it

 

Ive used the blue marine grease on all my quads and SXS with no issue for years. I doubt Polaris has a secret recipe.

 

They say use polaris because it is someone else's formula with Polaris name slapped on it and an inflated price. Like ^said they do not have a secret formula.

 

I just greased my machine with "Green Grease" based on the great reviews given by numerous members of the forum.

Ok so can you just add the green grease to what's already in place or do you change it all out to green grease to use it.

 

I also have been using the green waterproof grease. Is it just my imagination or is it thinner, then the regular stuff we use at work. Haven't actually had to roll naked in the stuff thank god. But does anyone have an opinion, or actually specs on grease viscosity. Thanks

 

Yes you can just add the Green Grease to what is already there.

 

I did a little research last year on green grease.

sure its ok but other than a little higher temp rating not much else.

Except one other thing. They spent millions advertising and handing it out to race teams, Monster trucks, Speed Channel and ads so they need to charge $8 - $9 bucks a tube.

My stuff is great at $2. Walk into Farm and Fleet on the right day and it's less.

Willing to hear otherwise.

 

I get a 14oz tube of green grease at autozone for $7.99. It's cheaper than some of the other synthetic greases.

is green grease better than the lucas oil Extra heavy duty grease? why is synthetic better? sorry to revive an old thread

 

I use Lucas Red N Tacky on everything. It's very sticky and water resistant. Easy to find in the stores here.

 

What top gun said red n tacky or belray I use belray all the way around. I have used red n tacky but just switched to belray because it was different lol
