New to the forum, have a 2011 rzr 170 second owner, stock set up. The first drive on trails I had the same problem as others, when the rzr when through water it would stall. With out a doubt moving the top carb hose up above the carb and taping it lightly to the frame has stopped all stalling in water. My question is this, while moving this hose I noticed what looks like a brass nipple that is bare directly under the access hatch. The nipple is to the right of the air box and above and to the left of the carb as you look down through the access hatch. The pic came out sideways, sorry. Dont mind the dirt but you can see the shinny brass nipple in the middle of the pic. Does anything belong on this nipple?

If I remember right, that is part of the emissions system (AIS - air injection system) which you should disable anyway since it contributes to the backfiring issue.

I had the same question about the nipple - it looks like it should be covered with something.

I'd like to hear about disconnecting the AIS, too.
