What have you done to reduce heat in the cab area?

I have a 2021 Pro XP 4 Ultimate and it gets pretty warm in the seating area. I have the roof and a full windshield. It was hot in the front and my wife was riding in the back with our furry guy Rocky and she said it was hot back there too. So what did people do? Can you post photos?

Wolfsnout kit, along with some foam pipe insulation along the radiator lines as best I could.

easy-cool door latches (open your doors just a few inches, securely, to let a little extra air in, but not too far open to fling mud)

reflective foam insulation for ducts on the engine side of the back panel, along with the metal tape and a couple shots of 3M super adhesive to help it.

It got to be where the only significant heat I was feeling lately was in the floorboard,
so today the molded front floormats will be showing up from ebay. I might put some of the foam insulation on the under side of the floor mats if think I need it.

lightly tinting the front glass window might be a thing to look into (obviously on the cab-side of the glass) They have some films that arent dark, but reflect a lot of the rays back.

2020 XP2 PRO
Front and rear full windshields. Lower doors added.
Running AA stage 2 tune. Reduced engine water temp back to front. :)
Eliminated cat on factory muffler. Major release of heat behind seats.
Taped over drain holes in floorboard sides. Helped decrease cab heat and dust.

My machine is very pleasant to drive talking cab temperature.

The difference between a fairy tale and an oilfield story.
Fairy tale starts with "once upon a time"
Oilfield story starts out with "this ain't no shit"

Well, this ain't no shit. I have an Ozark thermos type bottle. Walmart special and I use for drinking water. Fits right in rear cupholder.
With mods mentioned above and leaving in rear cupholder. I can fill this water bottle up with ice and water. Couple hours of running I still got ice.
Guaranteed!

Put in the front floor mats yesterday, and I had some of the thin foam insulation out for another purpose and went ahead and cut some small sections to go under the floor mats. Every little bit helps I figure.

Went for a 60 mile ride yesterday afternoon / evening. Feet didnt get warm like the last ride. So thats a win.
Heat not really noticed at all until later in the evening I could feel some heat near me. (I was cool enough out I had a sweatshirt on, 62* ish)

I felt around and the warm draft was coming from under the drivers seat, in that empty space that is not holding the battery. Will have to take seat out and see whats going in that space and if I can block it.

Biggest they had for my area was 1". 1.5" would be better.

Another solution is header tape/wrap for hotrod exhaust.

I'll tell you now, you don't want to take apart the tunnel area more than once. Do all the insulation and run extra sets of wires , all at once. Wolfsnout kit is only 85$ or so.

Try doing this.

I have the Wolfsnout kit in my Pro XP4 and it helps but is a pain to install. I insulated all of the heat and cooling lines running through there with foam insulation. I still had heat problems and I couldn't rest my let against the console. If you look at the front firewall of your machine you will see a hole that looks like a big air scoop right in the middle. Hot air from the radiator and intercooler goes right in that hole and down the center console. Find a piece of foam you can slide down in there. I found a foam mat that people use to kneel on at Home Depot and in the garden and outdoor section. Cut a piece about 6-7 inches wide and 10-12 inches long. Take that piece of foam and slide it into the hole in the firewall from the top. make sure you slide it all the way down as far as it will go. It takes a bit of work to get it all the way down in there but once it is all the way down it is not going to come out unless you pull it out. This will block the hot air from your radiator from going down the center console. Trust me it works. Before I did it I could pull the cup holders out and it felt like someone was blowing a heat gun through there. On a long ride NPR gated shifter would get so hot you couldn't keep your hand on it. After installing a piece of foam to block it off there is practically no air blowing down the tunnel anymore.

i had a fixed windshield which worked great but the heat was too much , switched it out to a super atv flip up windshield , heat problem gone , with 4 or 5 threads going at all times for heat issues you would think polaris would be embarrassed with this , do a recall and install a wolf snout kit or something , put them in when its built or ???
