The RZR I tested had 14" wheels, what are the advantages? and cons?

Comparing two different brand 6 ply tires in the same sizes on my RZR on 12" and 14" rims the 14's had less sidewall flex and handled noticeably better. With the 12's I could feel the sidewalls rolling when going into a turn and it felt like it wanted to flip over. The 12's rode a little smoother in the trails but not enough to make a difference to me.

I’ve run both 12’s and 14’s on my rzr and the above explanations are basically dead on. If you do a lot of trail riding and rock crawling, I’d stick with the 12’s. If you do a lot of high speed, flat open style riding, I’d go with the 14’s.

The 12’s do ride a little better but as ******* said, not enough to make a difference. I currently use the 12’s only because I wanted a specific wheel and IMO, there are a lot more choices for aftermarket wheels when choosing 12’s.

My ride on 12” rims but 25” tires... (should have gone with 26’s)

Yep they've both got their pro's and con's which is why I have both. Neither size is perfect for everything. I've run 14's on 4 wheelers quite a bit and have never had any more of an issue with a 14" tire on the trail than a 12" but I always be sure to get a heavy sidewall for 14" rims to protect the rim. In fact the only tires I've ever had a problem with on the trail was 12" tires but I don't blame it on the tire size, any tire would have failed most likely.
