I was in Glamis this weekend and I came out in the morning to assess damage from the night before and noticed that I had some dirt collected underneath the weep hole on the water pump. I wiped it off and went out again and the same thing happened. It has never run hot, nor has it given me any problems, but I do notice some coolant missing out of the bottle every so often. Anyone else see this on thiers and who has done a water pump on one of these? How hard could it be...right?

Mine has been weeping from day 1 ( 09 S ) just a very slight weep, enough to collect dirt......Took it to the dealer, was told the engine had to be pulled to fix it...Found out that was a lie.....According to one of the former members, it's relatively easy to fix....I'm not worried about it.....Yet!

Yeah, I'm not gonna do anything just yet, I just thought it was weird that it would just drip only that much. I know that if it pisses out of there, there is definetely a problem with the water pump.

Mine started leaking a little bit at 400 miles I had to replace it at 500 miles. I f you have to replace it drill a small hole in the seal and use a slide hammer like a body shop to pop it out. But be careful drilling hole don't go in to far there is a oil seal right behind water pump seal.

Just put my new seal in tonight, camera batteries went dead, but I do have a few pics I will post tomorrow, wasn't too bad of ajob, I borrowed the seal instal tool from my local dealer, and the seal went in no prob, getting the coolant system to bleed was a pain, even with the bleeder bolt loose, seems all good now! We will see when I get it on the trail aqgain after I get some other issues fixed...

Sean you just kill me.. Since we've met you just keep breaking your baby....I make mine pretty and purposly go out and try to break it and nothing??

Then again, Most have no idea of what the extremes are up here or what we drive in...The Knik River Glacier area is known for just eating peoples crap up and leaving scraps behind!

Oh Be careful if you stop by...My side of the mountain will not see the sun again until May-Jun, I already lost control sliding down the Mountain this morning..We were all iced up from the Fog..(the clouds were low).... I wish it was your last winter up here as well...I'm going to feel bad writing you from Glamis and the Rubicon rides ect... next year!! But good job on that pump!
