As the title says, I've recived delivery of my Vent racing 2+2 cage and I'm pretty excited about getting it installed. I've already removed my stock cage(For Sale!!!), and will be putting on the new cage with the back seat hopefully tomorrow!! I'll post pictures once its on.

A little more info for you guys, I have a 2011 RZR S LE, so the stock cage was the same as a previous years standard RZR.

Your stock cage is a little different and will only work with a 2011 unless you not going you use the side bars from the cage to the floor boards so you would have to run doors if you are going to put it on an older RZR.

On anther note congrats I am looking at the same setup I would love the see pics when you get it on.

I know of the 4 seat cage extension for their conversion kit but is this new? The only thing they have on their web site is the extension. does this new one replace the entire cage????

Tom maybe these will help,it looks like a full new cage.
RZR 2+2 Cage Extension - From Vent Racing Technologies
Thanks, could't find it on the site. I gotta look into this. I bought the seat and belts already. gotta see if they'll sell the kit without those items.
They are actually like 5 miles from my house. I called them and asked about this (by the way the guys there are super helpful and whatnot).

My understanding is the 2+2 is different than the conversion in a couple ways.

1. It is a little more expensive.
2. The 2+2 is a full replacement with a much stronger steel and design
3. The 2+2 can be converted back to a 2 seater in a matter of minutes if you are not hauling the kiddies.

2 and 3 made the price difference in 1 seem really justifiable.

I am not sure if anyone can answer, and I forgot to ask when I called. Does anyone know if the aftermarket stereos will work in this cage (the ones that mount between bars)?

I don't know about the aftermarket doors, but a little heads up to the everyone, this cage comes shaved, no tabs for seat belts, door nets or retaining bars, so you pretty much need 4 or 5 points and doors.

with the rear cage attaching to the bumper that will make the conversion alot faster versus the old setup. If I hadnt gotten my setup so cheap I would have considered that setup for sure but I need the rear cage 95 percent of the time.

Im sure I'll be leaving the rear cage on most of the time, but the looks of the Vent cage and the price for what you get twisted my rubber arm!

Rene glad the cage finally made it up there. Let us know how it goes. Yeah I dont think we do anything but aftermarket harnesses on the full cages. We arent huge fans of the OEM Polaris ones. As for the aftermarket stereos the top bars are different than the stock RZR cage so the cage mounted stereos will not work. As for the doors we are doing some test builds with the Holz doors, Pro Armor doors etc to make sure there arent any fitment issues.

Also to clarify...The cage comes complete with a full cage, rear extension with seat, 2 seat speedster bars, fixed rear bumper and optional soft top. So literally it is like shipping 2+ cages. As Rene can attest it is a ton of stuff! The cage was designed to convert from a 2 to a 4 in a matter of minutes for the guy that wants to race or just run solo or with a buddy and no kids.

Don't blame you there...if I want going to
Go to a 4 in the next year I'd consider upgrading myself.
