A friend took his rzr800 to dealer for a oil change and tune up, they told him it will need valve lash adjustment, only about 1500 miles on it, think its b.s.. He only changed the oil once since 2010 and last year it ran out of oil on a ride,I noticed leakage around the head but he said it was normal and that they all use oil. Well , now he thinks just because it went to the dealer anything that happens will be covered by the dealer. what do ya think

Whoever told him that at the dealership could have made an honest mistake. Typically, dealerships have to service a multitude of engines and people do make mistakes. Its one thing to say they adjusted the valves and charge him for it. Its another thing to make an honest mistake in conversation then come back and tell him of the mistake.

the service departments aren't always well educated. They do have grunt labor and sometimes those guys think they know more than they do. I once had a guy that worked at the local polaris dealership tell me that a turbo 800 would actually outrun a turbo 900 because of this and that..... Obviously he has never been in either rzr and didn't know my involvement in rzrforums.
