I just had a dealer in OKLAHOMA tell me the turbo has a recall on a oil leak on the turbo itself.

Has anybody heard this?

Because the 1st half of the summer my 900S was a paperweight. The 2nd half of the summer my XPT is a paperweight. The solution is buy 2 RZR's so you always have one to ride. Gotta be freaking kidding me.....

$35k combined in toys and they have their heads up their butts.

When the RZR XP1000 recall was announced, there was a repair designed with parts in process. This clearly says they are still evaluating a repair solution so it may be a while to get the Turbo machines repaired seeing as they don't even have a fix designed yet. Hope you guys don't have to wait as long as the XP's but it's not looking good.

Do the turbo models use the cheesy fuel rails like on the XP's and other models?

This sounds like a bullshit recall to reprogram your ECU . I never heard anybody have a car overheat and not go into limp mode . This recall sounds fishy to me so they can reprogram the ECU , maybe to put a program in so you can not crank up the power .

The clutches need the recall Polaris not the ECU ----WAKE UP .

I think the problem is that it doesn't go into limp soon enough and will keep running and building heat even when it does go into limp, a Turbo in our group got up to 280 degrees and was blowing coolant out like crazy after making a few runs around deadhorse bowl in the dunes. It was going in and out of limp mode all day, there is no reason for it to not be able to handle those kinds of riding conditions.

We are in deep and bought a new turbo while our XP waited 2+ months to get the recall done. Finally got the XP back from the recall and after 2 hours it threw a code (TMAP sensor, 105 3) and runs like crap. BTW I did all the defect connector updates on the TMAP and injectors 4k miles ago. So we have an XP garage queen and now a turbo burning up warranty time sitting the garage too. I am mad a hell!

You are better off replacing the entire wire harness on your XP. I went down that road and ended up replacing the entire harness.

So are they saying the Ecu may not trigger limp mode? Or is it just set to high and temps need to be lower than currently allowed to prevent issues caused by heat? Last trip I lost coolant with no signs of a leak. This makes me wonder if I have cylinder or gasket issues?

The issue does not create an overheat condition, it may fail to shut down the engine if there is an extreme one. The vehicle won't 'save itself' from damage.

The fire piece is if the oil were to leak onto a hot surface.
