I don't know about the K&T set up, but MCX has good instructions with their kit. If you have the mechanical skills you can do it yourself!

I don't know.
But I know he likes to get out of the cold Colorado weather in the winter and does installs at his house in Havasu.
Of course he is in Glamis this week.

If you have the right tools and have the experience you could install it alone and reading the instructing very will,in MCX site they you could accomplish it between 8-12 hours,Check this:
