Wanted to here from you tranny experts on what type of sealant you recommend for sealing the tranny case when putting back together and technics or how much to use. I just want to get it right and never have to crack it open again.
My xp 1000 leaked from the beginning from Polaris not using enough.

Thanks.

You have several choices. Toyota FIPG orange for transmissions, Hondabond, Yamabond. I chose Toyota FIPG ( form in place gasket). I have a bit of experience with it, and you don't see Toyota manual transmissions leaking from where it has been used. Aluminum to cast, or aluminum to aluminum, or cast to steel. It doesn't leak from there. So that's what I used when I replaced the bearings and resealed my case.

Thanks for the help. Did you use the same sealant around the inner clutch case bolts?
wanted to ask since you didn't mention using it with plastic.
