Trailering question

I just got my XP 1000 yesterday.
Picking up I took a utility type trailer. Had a hard time figuring out where to attached the tie straps in the front. Any suggestions?
Then tried to put it in the toy hauler, and found that it won't fit under the rear bunk bed. I have a 2005 Weekend Warrior.
Any suggestions? All I can think of is either taking the bed out, or getting a different toy hauler. Not even sure if others would have more room under the bed?

You will probably have to add strap mounting points like E-track or eyelets on the utility trailer. The toyhauler is a different story. If it's just by a few inches that it doesn't clear, look into a different cage for the RZR. Most of them lower the overall height of the rzr by anywhere from 4-8 inches. That depends on how tall you are and how low the cage can be though. If it still doesn't fit, then other options would have to be looked into. It's possible the bunk bed removed would do the trick as well. Break out a tape measure and see which is the more feasible option.

For a trailer I use an ALUMA 77X12H.

As for strapping down on a trailer -- Polaris has made this very easy -- Providing you don't have a front bumper.

For the front -- There are 2 slots and 2 round holes. These are perfect for motorcycle straps -- Simply slide the hook into the slot and then pullback catching the hole with the hook.

There is a provision for using 2 straps in the front.

For the rear -- Just as simple as there is a steel loop. Simply use 2 ratchet straps.

Here is a video of mine - Hopefully it will help illustrate for you.

As for attachment points on the trailer -- I used axle straps looped around the corners. Effective and simple.

FUN Times ... .. . :)

I use an Aluma 7712H aluminum tilt bed open utility trailer that I tow on my Class A Motor Home.

I tie my RZR at all 4 corners through the spokes of the aluminum wheels. Two tie down pull forward and two pull aft. This tie down method allows the suspension to work going down the road. I do not tie to the frame or roll cage.

Most guys I know have given up on Toy Haulers and have gone with 5th wheels towing their trailer on back of the trailer.

Under the rear bed in the toy hauler is 72". Polaris says the XP1K is 73.75" high, and I added a poly roof, which adds a little height. Is there another roof that is nearly flat?
Someone I know suggested I let air out of the tires. That seems like an easy way to gain an inch or two. He also suggested strapping the suspension down if the tires aren't enough.
I appreciate that video, but I can't see the place on the front where you fastened the tie straps. Rear was easy. That was the issue as to where to put them on the front, not the trailer it's self. I guess I should have made that more clear.

I have the same issue with my 03 WW. That single rear bed, the non-electric type, is thick. I went with a TMW cage on my 800, and I'll probably do the same with the 1000 I just bought. There are some good videos out there on cutting your stock cage, and this would give you the space you need. You just have to have the skills and equipment, or someone who does, to get it done.

I've heard about airing down the tires, and compressing the suspension, but never done it, or actually seen it done. Sounds like a PITA to me, and I prefer the look of the lowered or aftermarket cage anyway....

Good luck!

I bought a new XP1K and it has the Polaris metal roof with the dust wing and I strap the rear suspension and air down the tires, we also have a WW with the low clearance bed, I looked at new cages but it's not an option as I'm 6'3" tall and here in comifonia we have to wear helmets so I don't fit under a lowered cage so I'm kind of stuck, I like the roof so we deal with it.

Thank you SO MUCH for all the help. I'm going to try today to let the air pressure down and see how much that helps, and if not enough, ratchet down the suspension.
I like the looks of the poly roof, and would like to keep it, don't want to deal with taking it off/on though. I really think if I did not have the roof on it, airing down the tires would be all I'd need. Is there another roof that attaches flat or do they all add height? I live in CA. too and though I fit easily with the helmet on, I my have others in it with me that don't. The cage does seem exceptionally high to me though.
I was planning on trying backing it in. I don't see how it will make a difference, but I will try it.

Hmmm.............
I didn't watch them install it, but sounds like maybe I should check into this.
I see how it snaps on, but I didn't want to try to force it, thinking I might either scratch something, break a snap/clamp, or something. Is there a video of taking it off/putting in on that you know of? Maybe I should check youtube.
