I have a '21 Pro XP and am contemplating putting a tune on it. At first I wanted it to mainly change the fan settings so it would run cooler, but now I'm thinking since I put on bigger tires and a ton more weight in accessories it might be nice to get a little power back. I know a lot of people put tunes in but I also know there's a lot of people who don't know what they're doing. I'm just not sure if altering the engine performance will ultimately cause issues down the road. Has anyone had any negative impacts of putting a tune in?

My 2021 Pro XP engine is stock and it will stay that way. I don't want to deal with ANY issues associated with ANY power mods.

My 2022 is stock, I have contemplated about a stock tune with the limiters removed or raised, just havent justified it to myself yet. The fan settings would be nice for the crawling I do though, but could probably just run a switch to keep it on.

I've had and ran most the popular tunes and I have done some testing comparison's between them.
AA , Bikeman , Alba , Gilomen , MTNK , PWRTune
Overall the AA tunes from Mike are IMO the best . They deliver the most power, throttle response and they have been totally reliable for me on several vehicles.
I 'm currently running his tunes on my 2018 XPT ( with a water-cooled AA turbo) and on a NorthStar ranger crew.
Mikes customer service is excellent and his willingness to modify tunes and features for the customers needs is a major benefit.
I am not saying I like all AA products but their tunes are IMO the best on the market.

Tune it with a reputable tuner, as said, and you will not regret it. I have at least 2k miles on my AA stage 2 with zero issues, switching to stage 3 this season just because I am upsizing tires. The biggest component here is getting it from a reputable tuner. I would also recommend eliminating the cat, as it is a huge restriction and heat source. Your engine will thank you.

Not sure. I run with AA. I have seen plenty of food things said about Bikeman though.

You should be the guinea pig and try the Whalen tunes or the rest of us :)
Whalens claims are crazy, if true I want them but I struggle to believe them lol, I could play it safe and go with AA, but that's just not the person I am lol.

I have had my 17 Turbo tuned with KMS since new, it is clutched for the Dunes and make 183 HP at the wheels according to the Dyno. I have put 3700 Dune miles on it without any issues other than normal clutch maintenance.
