I had some problems too.Awhile back while riding i had stopped for beer break and when i got back on my steering wheel was all the way up.So i pulled it back down, rode a little further and stopped once again to shoot some video, got back on and it was all the way up again.By this time i was counting my empty cans i was carrying along to see if that was where the problem was at.But there just wasnt quite enough empties to justify my problem so i pulled the steering wheel back down, cracked open another beer, and focused video camera on steering wheel. It was only then that i realized that the beer was tasting real good but that i did have a steering problem.I ended up replacing the steering shock for $100.00.

Mine did the same thing when it was -20 degrees here a few days ago. Once I brought it in the garage and thawed it out it started locking again like it is supposed too. I've also noticed that it doesn't want to lock if it gets really dirty too. :rollfinger:

Mine will stay locked but when I adjust it, it unlocks and doesnt lock again, but this only happens when it is cold out like Pegleg said.

Work great, we only got about 2' here, unless you count drifts, but either way it only sinks in about 8 inches or so and our snow is quite fluffy right now. Havent been afraid to take it anywhere. I will get some action shots this weekend hopefully. Ill keep you posted or check out My Minnesota RZR in member rides.

I had the same problem while hunting!!! I figured it was the cold considering that my bump stops were frozen and every time i hit a bump there was a loud popping noise... But when the steering wheel kept going up i took my glove off and held the valve!! After about 3 min. It worked again!!

I haven't adjusted mine in some time. Yesterday I move it and it would not lock in position. I pull it off today and the pin was rusted, I spray it with WD-40 and lossen the pin up but still won't lock must be a spring inside the shaft that is hanging up.Before paying a $100.00 I will make a spacer.
Another thing for Polaris to address, no way to keep the moisture out need a seal.
