Things to add

I recently got a 2010 800s and was looking at adding a couple of gauges to it. I see it has a 1/4" port for the oil pressure line but does it have a spot to add a water temperature sender?

My 2011 800s shows water or engine time on the speedometer screen. Doesn't yours. Oil pressure is good to know. The oil pressure bypass valve is a little funky and subject to issues. I put in a factory spring and my oil pressure was so high it pegged my 150 psi gauge. I put my own spring in to get it back gown to 40 psi.

Mine shows odo hrs trip thats it. Im thinking of adding oil pressure and water temperature under the center part of the dash. Where this has been worked on before im finding a few odd things like there's no wires to the brake switch but there's 3 wires twisted together with a wire nut there so I'm thinking a service manual might be a good thing to buy.

There was several changes made from 2010 to 2011 models (to the best of my knowledge). I believe that was the year they changed the front grill area to allow more air to the radiator and the drive shaft changed (added middle carrier bearing). I think my 2010 model gauge allows you to flip between hours, miles, and rpm if I'm not mistaken.

I have been interested in adding gauges myself. So here is some stuff I have found looking around at, but have not bought anything yet.
Looking at adding water temp, oil pressure, volts, and belt temp gauges. This stuff can get expensive quick, so I dunno.

Pod (these guys sell gauges as well)

Rocker switch panels

Another thread talking about similar....

I'm not sure yet which route I will take yet. I'm looking for more cost effective routes to get the job done. I may have to settle for less in the end as well.

Personally I don't see a need to change the driveshaft.
I'm working on upgrading or replacing all of the lower end of my machine, but the drive shaft. I just replaced the u joints. The old u joints were crazy loose and sloppy (rusted, no needle bearings left)! Can't believe they lasted this long without breaking.

You can find many different brand u joints available online. I don't know if one is better than the other. Here is what I picked up...
