Cody Rahders and the Polaris Industies Cognito Motorsports UTVundergrounddotcom RZR570 Wins the Production 700 Class Championship at WORCS

Going into Round 8 of WORCS Cody Rahders had gone from fourth place early in the series to leading the points chase by eight going into the final round. With Cody in the only 570 on the line amongst 5 Rhinos the last race of the series was not going to be easy.

The green flag flew and Cody got the holeshot only to be passed two turns later “Kayla (Smith) doubled a jump I rolled but I needed to play it safe and think title.” He then stuck to her rear bumper waiting for a mistake when something let go in the rear.

“I knew a place to try a re-pass for the lead so when I was setting up for it I landed weird off a jump, was on the gas a little too much and something broke.”

With the 570 now driving in 3 wheel drive and needing to finish fourth place or better to secure the championship Cody let the leaders go and went into survival mode the last two laps of the race. He maintained a steady pace and finished out the race 3rd place in class and the 2012 Production 700 class champion!

“What a season, to go from fourth in points to winning the title, awesome. There is no way we could have done it without our sponsors, thanks everyone!”

Cody and R3motorsports would like to thank everyone that helped us with the RZR570 this season.

The above was sent out to all of Codys sponsors this AM but here is a note to all of you RZR570 owners, with the exception of suspension this was a relatively stock machine. The 570 has so much untapped potential its sickening. Motor, clutch, ECU, more suspension, from low to unlimited budget there is a wave of mods being developed for you guys.
The Polaris RZR570, the future! If you bought one....you chose wisely, great car!

Great job! What broke?
Took a quick look this AM before work , looks like it stripped the splines on either the axle or the star in the CV. Axle is Summers Bros. 4340 cromo so Im guessing star.

We leave for another race on Wednesday so I probably wont take it apart till next week, will report back the failure when I do.

If anyone is going to the LOORRS race in Vegas this weekend swing by the SuperLite semi and say hi, both myself and the owner of Black Rhino will be there, our sons pit together.

Forgot to report back, wiped the splines out on the right rear outter axle and cv joint. Not sure which went first but they're toast.
In eight races at the hands of my 17 y/o son thats the only part that failed, good stuff this 570 is.
