I say they don't know what they are doing Monday let alone a year out.

Love my RZR, and we like to razz them but Polaris is consistent with a no information down policy. That is one thing I would change; the impersonal image. None of us has any relationship with them. Our dealers either in many ways. They won't reveal anything. not a hate post just observation.

And for the record I've never had a Hot Pocket but you are aware that people do warm food on car engines.

fortunately I wasn't one burnt by that. You are allowed to talk about it. At least in car world you have some gauge of next years model. You get a fair shot at making a big financial decision. Buy now or wait a year. But....

Many of us are modding the CURRENT XP engine. What if?
I'm contemplating sending my XP head to Yoshimura for their new mod potentially. (probably gonna happen).
A whole 20 hp or whatever it is. Whether its 15 hp or 25 hp i will appreciate it and be a good customer. Another grand or whatever it is.
(3) months later the XP 1000 hits. 40 hp addl. I could have had that if i had known.
God forbid Yosh knew the 1000 and continued promoting the 20 kit.

Time for my 9:13 medicine

Gotta figure they'll migrate the 570 suspension design to the S next year. The 800 has got to be on its last legs. If not 2013, then 2014. I'll be ready for a new one by then.

Highvotlage: As Mark said, there will be no "sneak peek". There will be zero information until the unveil day... Unless somebody compromises the secrecy agreements, or they themselves make a mistake, as with the XP4 intro. Late summer there usually are some color changes and minor stuff announced.

Mark: Polaris is such a big company now it's hard to have a "relationship", but I know what you're saying. There should be more conversation. At least they read these forums a lot ( we're told) and read our comments. Sort of a silent relationship. Better than nothing though...

Knowing nothing, or nobody from Popo, I do believe they've got to be up to something. You have to believe they are seeing a reduction of sales with the wildcat. The wildcat seems to be stumbling somewhat out of the block, especially for duners, due to a less than optimal clutch design for that environment. The aftermarket seems to be rather slow at providing a good, reliable answer for this, but from my research, it appears that when this obstacle is finally overcome, the XP, as it is today, will become second choice due to suspension and "frame" design. (yes, AC is having some quality control issues, but that can be overcome fairly easily)

So, what I think Popo will likely do, at some point in the near future, be it at the summer meeting, or 1-1-13, IF they are truly looking forward, and not just at this quarters profits, is to address the obvious weakness in the rzr platform: the frame/suspension. Hopefully this will include a move to a stronger, mono frame along the lines of the wildcat (no, not a copy), and at least equal the suspension capabilities of the cat. In the process, I hope they are smart enough to strengthen the horrible suspension mounts as well as provide a significant increase in the life of suspension bushings. In the frame redesign, perhaps they'll make a bit more "roomy" cab. This would put them on an even footing with an aftermarket modified wildcat. Then, should AC address the clutch issues, and fix the quality issues, all Popo has to do to remain ahead of them, would be to increase engine size/performance, and stay the leader in the category. (at least in a "OEM" world, where advertising would be targeted)

Of course the other benefit of this would be a redesigned "look", as the rzr design is now about 5 years old, and that seems to be about where vehicles start to look very "dated". So with some effort, Popo can stay at the front of the pack. At least that's the way I would be looking at it...YMMV

I heard from a friend's cousin who works at a factory authorized outlet that its going to be a Prostar based single cylinder unit with a 700cc upgrade and +12 suspension, 6 inch longer wheelbase. Oh, and green metallic paint.

No really!

Here's what I think it should be:

RZR 570 50" w/"S" type suspension
RZR S w/a 850 engine and upgraded frame and shocks
RZR 900 XP w/all the fixes to the suspension and frames
RZR 4 900 XP w/the same as above

All these should have the option for EPS but why offer LE models, just fix whats wrong w/all their current line up. You don't need to offer 2 -50" models, & umpteen LE models, & 2 - 4 seat models w/2 engines, but get more focused and refine the lineup. JM .02 cents worth

Here are a few improvements that would help most riders in the woods.
1) Yokley Woods Edition RZR XP Suspension Kit - 58" XP
2) Proper engine brake for slow moving trails. (Similar to the sportsman or ranger brake) We don't all run the dunes.
3)
