SXS street legal in NH

I've been thinking of getting a SXS for awhile, but the trailering has kept me back. My local dealer told me today that NH just passed a law where they can be street legal. He showed the law and here is the link. SB150 (2010) | New Hampshire Liberty Alliance

This is the list of equipment it would need. This equipment shall include headlamps, stop lamps, turn signal lamps, tail lamps, reflex reflectors, a parking brake, a rearview exterior mirror, a windshield, windshield wiper, brakes, seat belts, a vehicle identification number, and such other equipment as is required by federal regulations. Such vehicle may also use a flashing amber warning light when operating on a way.

Are these all avaiable for the RZR??

You would be putting all individual parts on the machine to make it street legal. Check out the search button in order to aid in your investigation

it says in section 2 shall NOT include off highway rec. vehicles YOU CAN NOT REGISTER IN N.H. for street use:rm_thumbdown: read it again!!!
Thats the original version describing a Tractor in section I.
Section II. Any low-speed utility vehicle. “Low-speed utility vehicle” shall mean any vehicle with 4 wheels, an internal combustion or electric motor, or both, a load capacity of 1,500 pounds or less, and high-pressure tires, that is capable of carrying not more than 2 occupants plus the load, is capable of speeds 30 miles per hour or less on level ground, and is used for agricultural or light industrial use.
That is not a TRACTOR !
BUT A “Low-speed utility vehicle”....utv.(sidexside)

Mine's legal in TN... Had to put a windshield and mirror on it. We can still use hand signals, it came with everything else required (head/tail lights, stoplights, reflectors, seatbelts, brakes, VIN, etc....) TN does not require horn, wiper, park brake, in the class I registered it in.

Right...You can register it. There's a similar low-speed vehicle law now in Maine. I asked the clerk how would they know if I had a safety glass windshield, and she said they wouldn't.....It's up to you to follow the law and the officer's desecration "if" you get pulled over and he wants to remove your windshield for testing. Can't travel on "major" roads and you can't run over 25mph (if I remember correctly). Gotta think it's the same way in NH from a registration prespective.

Check that again... Most auto windshield safety glass is etched as such... I'd still go for it though.

Awesome!!! I just seen a rzr with windshield and wiper and turn signals with the tractor plate driving down main street in Tilton nh heading in towards franklin. The tractor plate is what they give you at town hall as rzr in nh found out. Fing awesome. Can't wait for my windshield and blinkers to come in ;)

You need to take a current registration to your town hall for getting the plate. Otherwise a cop or inspection guy has to verify bin.

You need all the items listed in the law from the first post.

From talking to people at dmv and cops nobody knows what a high pressure tire is...

That guy with the rzr is running bighorn 2.0 and told my friend it was because they had to be radials. No baisply. Im going to try to clutch up with the guy tonite after I go register the commander for the road.

No inspection because its a tractor plate. Same as if you where to register a lawn mower. And I've driving lots of those up the road before lol
