Suspension setup/sagging question.

A while back I swapped out the stock springs for a RacerTech setup and couldn't be happier.

However on the last outing I noticed the rear end dragging a lot more than it used to. Looking at the rear A-arms they are now perfectly parallel to the bottom plate whereas before there was an "arch". The rear end is for sure lower than it used to be and lower than other 900S I've compared it to.

I'm assuming this is due to the extra weight I've added in the rear with a spare tire, cooler and tusk rack as well as normal sag from break-in.

Anyway, this leads me to 2 questions.

1 - Should the skid plate height on the back match the skid plate height on the front? If so, I'll work towards that.

2 - In order to "lift up" the rear end, do I just I use the pre-load adjusters to get the height back? Is there something else I should be looking at?

Thanks!

I did the mediums, and had 14" front and 13.5" rear ground clearance. I have very little extra weight. You should add preload to the rear springs until you reach about the height of the front.

You should not add preload without lifting the wheels off the ground, I've heard it can cause galling on the shock threads. Also, you will have to drive around a little to get it to settle out after the adjustment.

The more preload you add to the springs the rougher the ride. I have read Rzr's will handle better with the rear sitting slightly lower than the front.

Hope this helps.
