May be it is, somewhere around there. By the way the best way I found to remove steering wheel is loosen nut, but keep it on a couple threads. Then while sitting in rzr, adjust the steering wheel low enought to pull on the bottom side of steering wheel with your knees. Then with one of your hands pull on top of steering wheel while with the other hands hit nut with a hammer. It will come off a lot easier than prying it off, trust me!
Loose steering wheel nuts couple turn, push on the bottom of the steering wheel with you knees and hit the nut protected by piece of wood or bronze punch with hammer. Work for me.

try some good penitrant give a good spray let sit then do the loose nut thing lift up on the wheel with knees and top with hands and hit nut (put block of wood first to protect nut) it should come off
After much trouble I finally removed the steering wheel. Though it looks like there is a gear left behind. How the hell do I remove it? Ive tried using a gear remover with no avail.
Pleeeeasse help. This is getting nuts. I want to call Polaris and bitch at them.
now you need a steering wheel thats the hub from the wheel its not supost to come out like that...
and it looks like you might of smashed the steering shaft also looks mushroomed out in the pic but hard to tell.
try heating the part that came out of the steering wheel and spray some penitrant on the slines after the flame is gone(penitrant is flamible) and try to get it off with the puller heat will make it swell up dont get to crakzy you dont want the shaft to heat up just the leftover hub...
Look like yours is really holding very well. In this stage I would use air cut of tools to carefully split ring or use the heat as Johnny is recommending. But it is even unbelievable how your steering hold on.

Tre,
pull the pinch bolt out of the u joint under the column. pull the shaft and go work at your work bench vise.
It looks to me like you need a new steering shaft to go with your steering wheel. You could do the electra steer or a 2:1 steering quickner for racing instead of buyinga new shaft from Polaris
I just did this entire process last week, my wheel was not coming off period. So I cut wheel off with saw zaw, lots of penetrating oil used, put heat on it (enough to burn the oil up) and then had a puller on it(two prong). With a lot of turns to the puller, the sucker exploded off while under heavy pressure. It was a MF'er, biggest challenge to go through my shop in a while.
I have a 09 RZR S.....the nut size is 15/16. I haven't destroyed the stock wheel yet, but tried several of the methods suggested on here (including the rachet straps to the roll cage and smack with a brass drift.) Beat on that thing til I mushroomed the brass real good.....the steering wheel hasn't budged. Also used about a half can of WD40....still nothing. Any further suggestions?
Ahh the steering wheel nut... That mother effer pissed me off... 1st I couldnt get the wheel off, then I ended up beating the crap out of it so bad I damaged the threads..Then I cross threaded that sucker when I went to reinstall it.....
Went down & bought a larger Die & re-threaded it (5/8 Standard If I remember right). Im running a 1" nut now... It was a much needed replacement, now the new wheel comes off easy & I haven't had anymore issues w/ the threads...
Stupid is as Stupid does.. Taking a hammer to it is not wise!
I used a 1.5 " wide ratcheting tie down. Wrapped it around the steering wheel hub and the upper rear roll cage bar. Applied tension and used a poly round bar. rapped it once, voila, off!!!
