Have a 2013 XP 900 and purchased new when I bought the RZR the 4 speaker SSV system- This doesn't have the dash mounted controller -it's all built in the overhead unit.
What I am trying/wanting to do is to make it like the newer models with bluetooth.- so I can stream music from my I padMINI
Spoke to SSV and they gave me 2 options.
1st option was to buy a new bluetooth head unit from them for $300.00!!!
2nd was to find a bluetooth 30 pin adapter to blue tooth and stream my music to it- Sounded easy enough-
Found out after buying off Amazon a 30 pinbluetooth unit that the 30 pin connector in our SSV units are non charging ( which means it doesn't supply a charge to the adapter) I cannot find a powered bluetooth (charge maybe with USB??) and have to recharge at the end of the day which is ok-...

Anyone out there done this that could shed some light-??
My I phone 6 is to big to fit in the overhead compartment and was using the 3.5mm male jack- with my I-5 which was smaller.( doesn't charge either but was using power from the I phone)
Now that I have a I pad mini for my GPS- just made sense to stream my music from it..to the SSV system VIA Bluetooth.

Any help would be greatly appreciated- Not to up on all the wireless stuff - but hey still riding hard @ 60 years young..

I happen to see your post and had the same problem with mine when I bought this XP 900 used and it had the SSV in it. I bought a JL blue tooth adapter and plugged into the radio. I use my iPhone six to control it. I can look what type it is if u haven't fixed yours yet.

I also purchased a used XP900 with the SSV overhead unit. It came with a BMR Bluetooth adapter. I had to look this unit up to get instructions to pair to my iPhone 6. I think it was around $25. I can either put the phone up in the SSV compartment or keep it in my pocket. Range is fairly long and when I have it in my pocket I can roam around the bike and it doesn't skip a beat. I can take a pic if needed. The BMR is connected to the 30 pin connector.

Same here.I bought a used 900 xp with an over head 12V amplified 4 speaker unit,no radio so i use the 3.5mm cord plugged into my iphone6 because the unti is not bluetooth and a 12 volt charger from my phone to the lighter plug-in to charge the phone.
Soo i went and got a mini bluetooth unit plugs into the cig lighter socket to power i can stick a thumb drive into with my music and it has a knob i can adjust the volume instead of grabbing my phone.Problem is i need something now to bluetooth from it to the overhead unit and and make it receive the signal??????

Update-
I went and bit the bullet and sent in my old head unit to Chris @ SSV-
It now works great and not have to worry about charging- and the range on the bluetooth is outstanding!!.
All the plug in adapters I tried from Ebay and Amazon would work but never charged my phone when plugged in- and is NOT as clear as the SSV blue tooth..
Like to try the amp if someone could post of pic where ( how big) the amp is- Sub woofer too if ya have a pic...

Bottom line the cheapo plug in units for bluetooth work, but the quality in sound is very unaccepatable, you sure loose the chrispness of the sound.
