Looks like we're getting a crew for a run at SSRT on 12/26/2011 nothing formal just a good time and most of all RIDE.

When you get to the T intersection after getting off 80 turn left at the stop sign. Then you'll come to another stop sign in a small town. Go straight through. If you watch on your left you will see a GIANT SSRT sign in some landscaping. Turn left there and follow the gravel road back to the main parking area.

P.A. rider here, I curently ride atv. Looking to get a rzr. I ride in and around clearfield ... sure a rzr s would be fine. Have seen a few p.a. xp owners posting. Have you had a problem with the additional width of the xp.
Ssrt I assume you can't run a xp there.

I posted this in another thread. Per the SSRT:

The width between the bollards at the gates on the Snow Shoe Rails to Trails are 61 inches. So, be sure the units you are purchasing to utilize the trail are less than that. Two other things to consider is cab closure, rims, and tires. Be sure they do not extend past the 61 inches of your side by side unit or they will not get through.
SSRT's measurements are accurate--with S flares, I barely fit through.

DCNR is 58", but folks usually have made go-around connectors to the trails. The main issue is running into a ranger who has an idea of your SxS's width and makes you pass through (or try to pass through) bollards.

Can you bore holes in the seat pan to help sqeeze out the moisture? I'm gonna check mine out. LOL!!

It looks do able. I might do it when mines trail worthy. Can't figure out why the seat is sealed up like that anyhow. My bunger needs to breathe! LOL!!

I had a great time, just a little cold at times but other then that. I just enjoy that machine so much. It was very nice to meet you and the Mrs hope we can get ride soon. The Mrs on this end wil just be a passenger has no desire to drive the RZR .

first thing there coming out in the morning covers off < naked >
i wish some one would make a seat thats bigg enough for me i am 300 lbs and 6 fooot tall i just fit easy now tryed prp .. way to close to the stearing wheel

Tell ya what Scott. There's alot you can do to the seat frame to make them fit good. My problem was I couldn't get close enough to the steering wheel without my knees hitting the dash. I cut off the twisted stitch seat frame on the botton and welded a new piece at a different angle and it's great.

Did I see Somewhere else that you may be going out there Jan 18th? Considering I had to cancel my sled trip up north cause there is NO Rideable snow I need to get out and do something

Jan 14th is the big winter ride up at ssrt. Sponsored by Centre Hall Polaris. Ride and then a dinner at Moshannon community center. The hall is right off the trail.

thats what i was going to do ! but mabe not this weekend, or mabe if we show up AND BITCH UP A STORM , they will make the gates big enough ... why a size requirement anyways ! a utv is a atv only bigger , not a jeep or a truck or a pipe buggy !
by the way the xp is as big as a JEEP ! just not as heavy .. i parked next to my daughters ford escaape same size , if in a parkin lot i look bigger than most cars ~

I ride up there often, not to much this past year cause I been busy with a project, and I have been up there and waited for a jeep and a landrover to get out of my way and I have been there and had to ride between a fire pit and trucks parked on both sides of the rail bed down towards the tunnel. The fire pit time was about 5-10 trucks and trailers and about 10-20 people, including children, camping right on the trail. Since some of the newer gates I haven't seen that B.S. anymore. The people were from NJ and none of their quads had a SSRT sticker on them. Good luck trying to get them to widen the gates for a few XP's when most their memberships are probably quads. LOL!!! If you realy want trails widened why not ask the state to widen their class 2 requirement of 58" on the state trails. I bought my RZR4 to haul my kids with me on some of my adventures. It's 60.5" had it been 64" I woulda not even considered it and bought a Ranger crew. LOL!! Only SxS I know of that meets the 58" class 2 requirement is a RZR 50 incher. LOL!! You get the state to widen their requirements I am certain SSRT will follow.

I think you hit it right on the head skeeter. They put the gates up to keep jeeps off the trails. Scotty there is a way around some of the gates but you'll have to make sure you go with someone that knows the area. There are trails that will by pass some of them.
