While going up a rocky hill in low 4 wheel drive i heard a pop. Stopped the machine to take a look to see if i hit something and could see nothing. Got in to take off and started it, tried to shift and machine died and felt like it was locked up. Engine ran fine. Tried starting in gear with foot on brake and the same thing. We put it in neutral and towed it out and home. I pulled the clutch cover and the belt in the driven clutch was about half way down inside. We pulled the belat and both clutches, thought maybe a broken spring. We found nothing wrong and put it back together. We took it for a 30 mile ride and the only problem was it would creep at stop sometimes. Clutches and belt were new at start of season. Transmission now shifts fine. I'm stumped. If it's creeping at idle, here are the first two possibilities I would check.
#1 clutch alignment, this could happen for several reasons, the first one I would suspect as a non-expert, the pop you heard could have been the motor to tranny mount breaking...
#2 the bearing in your primary seized
