Went to Black Mountain in Evart, KY this weekend for the first time. Had an absolute blast! Best riding and trails I've ever seen, coupled with beautiful vistas and some of the friendliest locals around. I'll post up pics after work.
I was heading up a smooth hill, no bumps or water or anything, and suddenly the engine just died. No bangs, bumps, grinding or weird noises. No burning rubber smells either. Just dropped RPMs then wouldn't crank again. Gas tank was full, plenty of battery juice, and when I checked the airbox, it was totally clean.
Many thanks to the recovery guys in Harlan County...they towed me out over about 5 or 6 miles of trails.
Any ideas from you mechanically minded folks?
