Snorkel kit

Ordered a snorkel kit yesterday from mud industries and like a few I read afterwards some positives and then a ton of negatives. I don't go deep in water much but in case I did I bought the kit like an insurance policy. Some holes on the Hatfield McCoy trails can be deep so that is my main reason. Can I get some thoughts or maybe precautions when installing the kit once it arrives?? One thing I do like is it will be color matched to my blue stealth rzr. Thanks for any replies.

the main thing is make sure your motor intake system is sealed. also, if you remove the bed, not exactly sure how that system looks, look at the hose going from the valve cover to the air box. most of them are split, and you will need to fix it. I put a piece of heat shrink over mine.

and, dont forget your vent lines to the roof. front diff, gas tank, rear diff, and transmission

I ordered this kit as well. I haven't installed it yet. I noticed he isn't on eBay anymore?

Do all of your vent lines, line will be included in the kit. Another thing you will need to do is seal your CVT cover. Permatex makes their RTV in a 'PowerBead' can which is really nice on parts that require a lot of RTV.

I may just have my dealer install the kit before I go to WV. Sounding like if you leave one thing out your in trouble. I'll take a look at the instructions and make my decision. He said it will take about an hour and a half to do the install.

Well these are things that need to be done regardless of the snorkel kit if you're going in the water. There's just multiple steps to prepare it for water. I would not ask the dealer to do so. lol

PMC let us know when your kit comes in and a review. I like the looks of mud industries just been afraid because of all the bad press about their business practices.

Well got a response that my order was shipped and now can't get a tracking number even though he said he shipped it UPS. Let's see if the kit arrives this week. Tried to reach him via phone and text and no replies. And I have already been charged for it the day I placed the order. I don't want to have to fly to Texas......I already travel enough.
