I think they only offer a oil kit.They should have been able to tell you what fluid you need and the capacity of each part that needs the oil changed.

 

Maybe check with members spence or swingarm1 about making up a "Service Kit", they have alot of knowlendge between the two they might just come up with such a kit? I think that be something alot of other members might be intrested in too!

 

That is correct. The oil change kit is all that is offered and that is just 2 quarts of oil with a filter. I just changed all the fluids on an 08 RZR I just bought and it was about 125.00 for all of the fluids plus two plugs. Problem is that everything uses a different fluid except two. Still beats the dealership price of 75.00 hr x 2 plus ever how much they would have charged for the actual fluids.

 

I'd pay $ for a kit that had the correct fluid amounts for each: engine oil, front diff...
Put a picture on the bottle for each fluid to show where it goes: keep it easy for the do it yourselfers.

Sounds like a great idea, I'd be very interested myself.

 

Polaris won't do that, wants dealerships to do service work. The service is easy, but getting all the fluids is a pain in the ass. By design if you ask me!!

I buy a kit from my Polaris dealer that has 1 quart each of front, rear and transmission fluid. It also comes with 3 oz tube of grease and bottle of fuel additive. You have to buy extra quart of transmission fluid, but it will last at least 2 ext changes. I believe it cost around 36 dollars. I will post the part number when I get home this afternoon.
