Re: Rzr xp long travel and xc kits!

Travel will be around 16" for the +3, and the XC will loose a little. They will both use stock length shocks, so the shocks you have will work, but will need to be revalved and sprung for the best performance. We will also have Fox and Elka shocks already set up and dialed in for the kit. Pricing is still to be determined. But our goal is to keep costs down, and still getting great performance, so the trailing arms will be optional. They won't be needed with the kits, as you will be able to use the stock trailing arms with these kits. Our test car is going to be racing the King of the Hammers race, so you can bet they will be proven performers!

Re: Rzr xp long travel and xc kits!

I just found out we will be offering stock shock re-valving to go along with our new RZR XP kits if you don't have the budget for new shocks. We will have a tested and proven spec set up for your riding style. You will just have to send us your shocks, we get them set up correctly for the new kit, and you will be ripping for a lot less $$$! Merry Christmas!

No forward a arm placement? Or the back? I mean lengthen the wheel base? Adding that much travel, no concern about the rear cv's? Thx.

The MTS Stage 1 kit will be +3 wider, +1 forward for the front. The rear will be +1 5/8 wider, same wheelbase in the back.

The MTS Stage 2 kit will be +3 wider, +1 forward for the front, and the rear will be +3 wider, +3 back.

XC kit will be narrower up front and back, and have the same wheel base.

Re: Rzr xp long travel and xc kits!

Making some progress...

Here are the new lower front +3 a-arms next to the stock size trailing arms for size comparison. They are pretty long!

Here is the prototype XC -2 front a-arms:

@LSRGreg... Do you plan on only offering the XC in either one or the other, -2 or -3? The -3 would work better for me is why I'm asking and I assume producing both kits wouldn't be ideal. Any clue on availability?

Re: Rzr xp long travel and xc kits!

the XC kits will be 4" narrower overall. -2" per side. We couldn't get the -3 per side to work. It was just too narrow. Our goal was to keep the stock length shocks, so it would save you a lot of money. To use them, the most we could go was -2" per side. The rear lower link of the XC will be bent to clear obstacles that would normally hit on the straight links. But they will have all the kinks worked out that the other companies have been dealing with. No rod ends, no binding or flopping, and very strong. We should have kits shipping in 3 weeks or so.. most of the time from here is going to be doing shock testing. We should have our prototype kits finished soon.

Pricing for the XC kit, with axles, powdercoated is going to be $2340. You will be able to re-use your trailing arms, and shocks. The shocks will most likely need to be re-valved and sprung, and we will have kits available to make the needed changes to those as well, or you can opt to run aftermarket shocks from Elka or Fox. We will also have a trailing arm upgrade available as an option for $1310. The XC kit will have 14" of travel on the back, and 12.75" up front.

Here is a shot of the 1st prototype radius rod. We have some tweaking to do with the bends, but you get the idea.

Re: Rzr xp long travel and xc kits!

Here is some more info on the kits. We are going to start shock testing in a couple weeks.

--MTS Stage 1 (front arms are +3 wider per side, +1 forward, up to 16.75” wheel travel,-- Rear set up is +2 3/8 wider, up to 16 3/8” wheel travel) powdercoated price with axles is $2340

--MTS Stage 2 (front arms are +3 wider per side, +1 forward, up to 16.75” wheel travel,-- Rear set up is +3 wider, +3 back, up to 16 7/8” wheel travel) powdercoated price with axles is $2540

--XC (front arms are -2 narrower per side, 12.75” wheel travel,-- Rear set up is -2.5 narrower, 14” wheel travel, hi clearance lower radius rods) powdercoated price with axles is $2340

All of the kits above can re-use the stock trailing arm, or they can upgrade to our trailing arm for $1310.

These kits are all designed to use the stock length shocks, and on the MTS stage 1 and 2 kits, can run 1" longer shocks that will increase the wheel travel to what is noted above. The stock length shocks will lower the travel by about 1". We will be selling tuned Elka's and Fox's, and offer rebuild services through the shock wizards at PEP for your stock shocks, that will be set up perfectly for these kits, without having to spend the extra money of new shocks, depending on what your budget will allow.

--STS Hi Clearance Rear Radius Rods. They will be set up to use a thick wall bent 4130 alloy tube, welded to 4130 machined thick wall bearing bores, that have pressed in uni-balls, with stainless misalignment spacers. There will be a thicko-ring installed to keep the arm from flopping back and forth, and still allow full range of motion, and no thin threaded rod ends to break, or fixed bushings to wear out or break like the competition. They will be selling for $320 powdercoated.

We are now taking orders, and of course, the a-arms, trailing arms, and axles will be backed by our lifetime warranty against breakage! Let me know if you have any questions!
