hello, i have a 2013 rzr xp 900 and tryed rebuild top head the engine. The shape of engine made it impossible for me, I have to send the rzr for repair to the seller for a complete reconstruction.Now I have to put back the cylinder and the head but without the pistons. I have new head bolts how much have to temporarily torque them bolts, while waiting for repairing.
step 1. 9pounds
steps 2. 26pounds
step 3. plus 90 degrees instead of 180 degrees?
should i apply engine oil to the head bolts and torq for the 6 screws exhaust 13 pounds or 18 pounds .Thanlks!

 

Follow the service manual and watch the YouTube videos from PartZilla.
Do NOT get in a hurry and skip steps. Also make sure you replace BOTH chains as they stretch. The oil pump chain is most important because it has no tensioner and will cause bad things as it fails. Mine was so stretched it was hitting the case at times. Examine your case and you may see grooves like I did.
