Flat out straight answer if you do more in the woods tight trail ride'n go 50inch. If you do more open field/sand dune/ 4X4 trail then go with the S. I love my S ..... but have had to pass up a few ride'n trips because I knew the trails were to narrow and I didn't want to scrach the hell out of my ride. I can live with that and choose to go ride'n where I can fit!

I live in Ct and traded a Teryx in for a 50" rzr because of the width and that was 58" wide.
Here in Ct you can't give the S away the 50" are tough to find. The stock shocks on the 50" SUCK they are junk. So buy what fits your riding still best.

Well cableguy657 , How was your weekend , did you get to see and RZR S ? How was the trails ? Was it wide enough or just ok ? Did you snap any pictures ?

I had a great weekend!!! Trevorton PA

where i rode there was only a few locations where a S would have been a problem. one spot was going around a gate on a pile of dirt throwing you off camber. the hard box on the back of my 850 XP hit the post so I can only assume that if you were on a RZR 50 inch it would be a problem also. I didnt really check for another way around but i am sure i could have found a spot. I wouldnt have climbed any of the hills i did on my 850, although i did see a rzr try to go up one of the hills but had to back down. I didnt get it on video but for some other Vids check out
cableguy657's Channel - YouTube.

I didnt have any chance of riding a side by side but at Trevorton i dont think it would be a problem getting around even with a XP.

I am still up in the air about which one. everytime i get a chance i am speaking to guys with RZRs to get there opinion on if they miss their quads. most of the time i get sometimes as the answer. i think on tighter trails it would really suck to have to slow down so much to get through the trees.

i am in no rush as of right now as i will have to sell my 2006 500 EFI first.

I will second that about not getting into and hurry . I still have 400ex and my son still has his , I don't see myself selling them anyway. Cool vids .
I know everytime I see somebody on a RZR I stop and ask them how do they like it , lately most of people that I run into had just bought them and they love them because that's all they have to ride , or they had an 20 year old utility with beat up and worn out suspesion , so an new RZR is great improvment .

the manager at my local dealership gave me a great deal on a 2011 RZR in the pursuit camo. $11100 OTD. this is with 3.5 % sales tax and a $65 doc fee. i am guessin he came down to about $10700 or so.
this is his first offer and i havent come back with a counter offer yet.

but i findout that it has 60 miles or so on it. so now i think its not such a great deal. its been to a show and in a parade. not my idea of great way of breaking the motor in. or am i worried about nothing. I have always broken in new motors how I am going to ride them. but without long periods of WFO.

the camo would be cool but i think the extra money to get a 0 hours 2012 in red or a le with the tire and wheel upgrade would be worth it.

i havent spoken to him since he gave me this price and havent seen if he would take off more beings its really a used or a demo unit. I may have a advantage here as he cant get rid of it and its a used unit that will be hard for him to sell and I am not set on a camo 2011 as a red or LE 2012 would be better.

my mind is made up to get a 50 inch RZR,,,,, for now anyhow.

i was thinkng if i got a great deal to buy it and worry about selling my sportsman 500 EFI later but now it may give me a excuse to walk away from the 2011 RZR camo one.

what do you guys think about the low hours and milage on this.... new RZR? am i worrying about nothing or should i try for a better deal on this or wait for a 2012 for a little more money?

Sure like mine. Throw on another $6,300 worth of mods and accessories and you will be right there with me. :hihi:

i dont mean to hijack this thread but with the hours/miles on this RZR, should i be concerned about it? or just go for it and try to get a better price due to the hours/miles?

without haggling about the price, a 2012 RZR its only about 600 or so difference. of coarse this is without the camo.

my big hold up is the hours on this 2011 and it being sold as a new unit.

the camo would match my 850 XP though!!

That's not a lot of time, but you sure could use that as grounds for presenting them a counter offer.

Don't worry about hijacking the thread , this is why I started it just to get some input on different ideas and prices of why somebody would buy and 50"over a S or and so on , this good let here and see some more !
Because in the long run we all just want to have fun and ride . Something , with 4 wheels on it !

i am set on a 50. with a tire and wheel package it will be around 54 inches. in the morning i will see what kind of deal i can get on this 2011. depending on the deal i may be waiting on a 2012.

unless i can get a good deal with a 5 year ext. warranty on the 2011,i will hold out for a 2012, maybe a LE. i dont think the deal that is on the table is good enough with the hours/miles on it.

I am also in the same boat! 50 or 60 inch? I am leaning towards the "S" model cause of the suspension and shocks! My dealer here in NJ is getting in a 2012 RANGER RZR S 800-White/Orange Madness ! He said he would give it to me for 14,800.00 out the door. Not sure if that is a good price or not. My thinking is, I will just cary a small chainsaw with me just encase lol. I also take trips to treverton PA. So I think the "S" model should be fine. I guess I will see what happens!

I just bought a 2012 LE Mag/Metallic today for 11,100.00 out the door. I'd keep shopping for a 2012 at the price they quoted for the 2011. Just sayin!

I do trail riding, dirt roads, and I like the LE that I have it's 50" wide I can fit through all the 50" gates and I have over 1000 miles on it and never had one problem with the trans. or clutch or anything on it . It's been a great ride. love it.

thanks guys,

i do have it down to the 50 inch, just about LOL!!!!

but I am going to sell my 500 first. if i do i will probably be looking at the LE's, maybe the one with the eps.

thanks again.
If i findout anything new i will let you guys know.

Ken
