So...i have a S but i am tinking of selling and buying a V6 Long Travel Rail. I know a lot of you have rails or sold yours..so..I was wondering why get a RZR over a Rail for strictly sand. With a Turbo on a S they are darn near the same price.

If i was only going to ride in the sand I would sell my rzr for a rail. However if you are like me and do different types of riding the rzr is more versatile.

Honestly I ride sand rail couple time, but never really enjoy them, not to much fun. But RZR on other token is a fun to ride and have, at least for me. But money wise sand rail probably will be a cheaper then my RZR.:ride:

I totally get that and that is kind of what i was thinking, but it seems anytime we go dirt riding we end up taking the jeeps...so now I am wondering why i am spending 5-7k to make my rzr fast in the sand. Rails are really cheap right now and you can get a lot of rail for 20k.

I have spent money that could have gone toward a sand rail but I am one of the many that enjoy the versatility of the Rzr. I ride sand, open desert, tight trails , mountains, and a little of rock. Try buying a rail that does all that.

Now that we have the "family" rzr (rzr4) I'm considering selling my rzr and using the money to get a hayabusa powered sand rail for me.

1. You can put a RZR in the back of a truck
2. You can put a RZR in just about ANY toy hauler
3. You can go to Moab with a RZR
4. You can get a conventional loan for a RZR
5. You can let you friends and neighbors drive your RZR with no worries.
6. You wife will be comfortable in the RZR driving (most I know are not in a Sand Car)
7. A RZR is far more reliable than any Sand Car I have been around

Unlike everyone else responding, I feel my little 2 seat (little to no travel) VW sandrail is more stable and fun in the sand. I guess it would be different if my RZR had some motor work. The RZR is great at everything else. Now we take the RZR only to the sand cause there is no room for both. Plus everybody we ride with has SXS's. Long story short, the rail is for sale.

ceo, You need to increase you riding variety. One could never ride a rail anywhere but sand dunes. Don't you have any trails or other options to ride other than sand? Nothing wrong with sand, but I can tell you there are tremendous options out there for the RZR. Trailer the machine up and take a ride somewhere.
