Check around and you'll find a surprising number of people who have had a stick break right through the plastic floor of their RZR. When riding trails, the front tire is constantly throwing everything against the plastic floor and inner fenders. Thunderhawk Performance has designed this Front Inner Fender Armor Kit to protect the plastic inner fender area and the front edge of the RZR's floor from trail damage, by stopping a stick or rock before it breaks the plastic floor board. These guards are not just bolted to the plastic floor boards, they are mounted to the frame at three places along their lower section so that impacts from trail-debris will transfer to the frame.

The lower edge of the Inner Fender Armor extends back under the floor boards to the diagonal frame tube (under your feet) for complete coverage with most aftermarket skid plates on all RZR's and also with the factory skid plates on the RZR 900 models (does not cover the exposed floor boards behind the diagonal frame tube on RZR XP 1000/Turbo models equipped with factory skid plates).

Here's a link for more details and additional photos of the Thunderhawk Inner Fender Armor Kit on our website:Thunderhawk Inner Fender Armor

I would like to buy some for my 900xp. I know or a stick that came through the inner fender and tore up a woman's knee.
Unfortunately, we do not have inner fenders for the XP 900 RZR's.

This kit is available for the following RZR's:
2014 & newer RZR XP 1000 and XP-4 1000
2015 & newer RZR 900 XC, 900-S, 900-4 and 1000-S
2016 XP Turbo
2015 & newer RZR 900 Trail (check tire clearance with larger-than-stock tires)

Is it just one side?
No, this kit is the full set for both left and right sides.

I apologize if our photos showing only the right side caused any confusion. The left side is very similar to the right, with minor profile changes to fit around the brake master cylinder. We plan to get more photos of this kit next week, and these new photos will include both sides.

That is a good idea! I haven't had any issues with my RZR yet but I did have a stick come through this area of my old rhino and luckily it was the passenger side and no one was sitting their. Worst part though is I was in deep water so I never seen the stick come through until I got of the water,it could have really hurt someone if they had been in that seat. atleast if you are the driver and something hits you instinct says to let off the throttle while if a passenger gets hit unless they can tell you they could get hurt bad real quick.

Max tire size with out rubbing?
That's really difficult to say. Honestly, I could not simply say that any thirty-x inch tall tire fits, as a blanket statement. Most tires from different manufacturers measure different from their sidewall sizing, and the tire profile would also affect clearance from one tire brand to the next. Different wheel widths affect tire diameter and wheel offsets also affect tire clearance. For example - the guys running 4+3 wheels on the front have their tire centerline moved out 1" farther than on a 5+2 wheel, but the 4+3 wheel causes the tire to swing in an arc (moving the wheel & tire forward and rearward a bit when turned).

I will start to check with current customers to build a database of wheel and tires combos used. This should give a good idea of what is being used with the inner fender armor kit, and allow for comparisons using tire manufacturers specs from one brand to another.

In the mean-time, I can state that this inner fender armor kit uses from zero to approx 1/2" of space (when compared to just the plastic floor-boards) in the areas where possible tire clearance could be an issue. If you already have your tires, you could check your current clearance and verify that you have 1/2" available. If it's close, give us a call. If you're looking to buy new tires, then that's a little more difficult. In general, I'd say that buying 1" smaller should guarantee clearance.
