I bought a set and installed on my Gold 17. I went on one trip and got about 6 hours on them. Too much lean for me. I guess I will just take them off and see what I can get for them.

Have you replaced your tender springs yet? Aftermarket tender springs does away with the exaggerated body that you are getting now. Then your new links will work their magic. I'm a fan of complete disconnect but you will have a LOT of body roll with factory tender springs

Yes its a 900s with gear reduction and 30s. I don't have to use the hammer down approach like you would in a xpt4. Knock on wood, after 7 years of riding windrock I've yet to break anything. However, everybody else in my riding group has broken everything imaginable. Its amazing how much you save knowing when to push and not push the pedal on the right. I may end up making a quick disconnect link for the sway bar (no bar on the front).
I think you misunderstood my point, I don't have to hammer on it. The XPT4 crawls most anything and makes it look stupid easy. However, there are spots at Windrock a RZR will not crawl without hammering on it hard, for those spot I break out the winch.

If you have not broke anything in 7 years at Windrock then you are not riding the tough trails, just saying......You need to come ride we us ;)
I ride 39, 15, 21, 57. Its an extremely rare occasion that I pull a winch cable. I've been on 39 three times in the past 2 years and have yet to use a winch. That good enough? If you're breaking stuff, maybe you should follow ME. lol.

The uphill washout section before the rock garden has gotten really bad.
I haven't ridden it since January. We got on it a couple of months ago but someone riding with us tipped over and dislocated a shoulder after the first uphill rutted spot so we had to come back out. The ruts at windrock are the hard places. The rocks look more intimidating than they typically are.

Following. Just purchased my first rzr, it's 2017 gold and black. Been crawling for years with my jeep, looking forward to seeing how this rzr performs.

I have never offroaded in a jeep and I know there are some that are extremely capable builds but compared to most jeeps that we meet on the trails, you are in for a real treat. I love to come up on a group that are trying to decide if they can make it and just ride on up the obstacle; park on top and watch them turn around and go find something easier. :angel

Yeah, I know what you're saying, a jeep is a different animal. My jeep is a 2005 Rubicon and I've built it out to go pretty much anywhere. Ton of money went into building it.

I've been on a few trails that had some really narrow spots with steep drop offs. I think the pucker factor might be a little less in this rzr beings it's a little bit narrower. We will see. Lol

I'm really curious to see how this rzr will do on some of the waters falls that I've climbed in my jeep. With my jeep I air down but it's a lot heavier than this rzr.

Agreed. I've gotten bewildered looks, the finger, and occasional cursing. It's all fun to me...

There's nothing better than when the jeep guys with their 40+ inch tires, 4 link, propane, ask you if you know what trail you are about to hit and tell you that these rzr things can't do it. Then they have to let you pass because they are going to slow.

Not to say a rzr can go everywhere a rock crawling set up jeep can because there's no way a rzr on 27-34" tires at 1700lbs can get over the rocks a 4000lb jeep on 40-50" tires can, but those places are few and far between.

We were at Windrock this past summer heading up 16 when we ran up on a group of Jeeps CREEPING along. They let us by and we rolled up to the intersection of 16 & 18 where 16 get real. I was leading, I told everyone we were going to break for lunch and watch the Jeeps TRY to navigate 16. They studied the hill for 45 min before the first one attempted the right path up the steep ruts. He had the biggest bada$$ rig out of the group. Well, with two flops and a lot of but puckering he decided it was a bad idea. We finished lunch and they watched the RZRs climb it with ease. Then they turned around and went back :grin

On another trip to Windrock and there was a group of Nissan Xterras having a club ride. The previous day one of our guys had some minor carnage from trail 39 that we were repairing when they all pulled down by our campsite. There is a small rock crawl right next to the WR campground. The Xterra boys were setting up to crawl up it. They had a big crowd gathered around and had spent a hour scoping out their line. We dared Trey in his 800 to drive up between them in the rock crawl and show them how's it done. Well as soon as he finished replacing the axle he pulls out and goes right up the rock crawl in the middle of them, all the way to the top. They just stood there like "WTF" just happened. I think it kinda pissed them off this little RZR 800 went up the rocks without a spotter and without scoping it out for a hour

Later that day we dared him to go up it in reverse...guess what...he did. Should have done that in front of them then they'd have been super pissed.

Turns out this was there "White Knuckle Off-Road Challenge Contest". If these guys thought that was tough they would have hated to follow us up 21, 39, 75, 18, etc...

Been to busy with work to do much riding. Only have 37 miles on it so far. That’s about to change though, starting vacation today and won’t be going back to work until the 2nd. Not planning a long trip or anything. I live in the high desert of Southern California, so there’s lots of areas to wheel close by.

I just installed this top and a lighted whip. I made the dealer throw the top in for free when I purchased the razor. I may install a small led light bar that I have inside the grill Guard tomorrow? I’ll just have to fab up some brackets for it.

Great suggestions above!!

Another is when choosing your line try to choose in such a way that you keep your RZR as level as possible side to side so you reduce the amount of compound angle that the car is at.:smile

That little light bar you spoke of is going to be a bit tricky. At least mine was, so allow more time than you would think. Good luck.

That's a pretty decent course for a street-legal rig. For a dedicated off-roader, it's a walk in the park.
