Recently tuned up by Polaris mechanic. Feels slightly sluggish now when accelerating. Starts sputtering at exactly 30mph and wont accelerate beyond that. Happens in 4-wheel drive and 2-wheel drive. Seat belt is connected. Anyone had a similar problem?

No codes listed on the receipt. Parts show plug, filter, air filter, changed front diff fluid, rear diff/trans fluid. The rest was installing u-joints, left front inner CV boot, rear brake pads and checking the suspension, bearings and bushings, CV shaft, steering. Receipt doesnt say anything about checking the drive belt or clutch. So I dont know if they got into that or not.

@Yukon Mike it does sounds like it could be the fuel pump. If you end up replacing it, Quantum Fuel Systems makes a great replacement drop in kit that is much cheaper than a Polaris OEM pump and they have been proven to be every bit as reliable. They also have a lifetime warranty. Let me know what year model your 570 is and I'll get you a quote. It's a pretty easy job to replace the fuel pump with the drop in kits. Just get the tool too.

You can get a fuel pressure test gauge many places, to test it yourself, if you are inclined to do so. Other wise would take it back and have fuel pressure checked, While there, have a new belt installed. You have not given us much information as machine, year, milage etc. All that helps.

Thanks rockpeak and sandblster. It's a 2014 rzr 570 with 4541 mi, 557.3 hrs. I put a new drive belt on last year. It accelerates smoothly right up to 30mph and then starts sputtering. Although a little sluggish, if you back off to 25mph, it runs just fine. No missing or backfiring. But it will not go beyond 30mph now. Does that sound like a fuel pump or possibly a sensor of some sort??

Here is a suggestion from left field but have you looked at the seatbelt sensor? Stranger things have happened before.

Does the 570 have an engine tach? If so what is the engine doing rpm wise? Fuel pressure test kits available at any auto part store. Still first thing to check. Acts like plugged fuel filter or bad fuel pump. Think 16 or 17 was first year for seat belt limiters. Also check your air filter is not clogged and fuel lines are good. Make sure intake is tight and not taking in air, etc.

Yes. It has a tach. I'll pick up a pressure test kit and check the items you listed. They just changed the air filter with my tune up. Not sure about the fuel filter. I took it back to the dealer to fix because it wasnt doing that when I took it in for a tune up and changing the u-joints and I dont have it back yet. At this point, I'm ready to go get it and go thru the checklist you all have provided.

Dumb question. Is the trans physically in high gear at the trans/cable selector at the rear? Or am I way outside of thought?
I think it probably is, because it runs ok below 30mph. But that's a little beyond my skill level so I'd have to get one of the guys I ride with to supervise that. But I will check it. Thanks.

Another place to get a fuel pressure gauge is Harbor Freight.
If your engine isn't screaming at that 30mph point it's probably not in Low. Or you can put it in Low and see where it cuts out. Switch the dash readout to engine RPM, see if it cuts out about the same RPM in Low or High.

Just a follow-up FYI for anyone who may experience a similar problem and a thanks to those who offered help... Looks like the issue was solved with a new clutch kit. The drive belt was showing wear so that was replaced also. The fuel pump had good pressure so I left it alone. It's back to accelerating to just over 50 mph now.
