2019 900 trail with eps. Less than 150 kms on it.

<I loosened the steering shaft at the splined outputs above and below the eps unit. (As some had mentioned in my endless googling)

I believe after a somewhat hard hit on the front end the steering shaft shifted on the splined shafts and was binding. Dash light and code are now gone and steering seems back to normal >

EPS went out yesterday after I hit a small cross ditch, nothing crazy just a bit of a bump then no power steering.

Seen guys say everything from charge battery to fuses, relays etc

I’ve tried

-visual inspection of all connections/wires I can see

-check and confirm fuses/relays(by swapping around with others and visual inspection of fuse)

-charged battery



Machine is as new just a bit dirty/dusty. Has not seen much more than light rain, no water crossings etc
