I own two off road vehicles that have had the oil replaced with Royal Purple. I have looked on the website and they have many other applications for their product on vehicles such as street bikes, dirt bikes, trophy trucks and many others. I wanted to know if anyone knows if this product can be used on a Rzr and if there are any advantages/disadvantages. Thanks for the input.

I heard that once you use a full synthetic that you aren't supposed to go back to a conventional oil...
true?
they used to say that but none of the oil companys say that...just like they said dont mix syn and reg...but if you look on the bottle some say its ok....so who knows.... my rzr says use synthetic and thats all i have used...( plus i use syn in everything i have)

I have a hard time seeing oil on the dipstick of a few of our cars.
When I change the oil I add 1/4 cup of Royal purple and it makes the dipstick level more visible, easier to read.

Been doing that since 1965 BTW.
The stuff has been around in one form or another since way before then.

Used to be the main oil product offered at Union 76 Stations and was called Royal Triton.

Is there any truth to the tale that once you use royal purple your not supposed to use anything else?
I believe the the concept is that once you go synthetic (of any kind) you can't go back to standard natural oils, but you can jump to various others, like Mobile1 or Amsoil.
I got a brochure from AMSOIL. They are recommending a 25K mile oil change in your car with their product! How true is this?

Some of AMSOIL oils can go 25,000 miles or 1 yr. providing you use their oil and air filters. They have been making that claim since 1973, see pic below. I have done it and I have customers who are doing it.

There are lots of myths about synthetic oils. Believe me, I have used nothing but synthetic oils since 1975, sold them since 1978 and to this day these rumors persist to this day that were started back in the 70's.

There is no truth to the myth that once you use synthetic you can never use anything else.

There is no truth to the myth that seals will start leaking if you use synthetic oil. Seals leak for various reasons and its rarely linked to oil.

There is no truth to the rumor you cannot use synthetic oil in a new engine. ALL POLARIS ATV'S AND SXS COME WITH SYNTHETIC OIL FROM POLARIS. All Corvette's come with synthetic oil as do all Cadillac's as well as many other makes and models. If you want to best, then synthetic it is.

Step back in time before many of you were born.

Popular Science 1976....Would you believe back then even Mobil 1 was saying 25,000 miles? True, right on the can.
