I don't know if I would call it "firmed up" or not.

It is soft where the road makes the jog to the left and then to the right as you are going in. I had a four wheel drift going everytime I went through there.

Then, as you pass that and start getting about halfway between that last jog and the tower, there are some holes (washes) that were getting worse as last weekend went on. There is no reason to keep the higher speed up at that point though, so once you get through the jog, slow down a wee bit and that little wash area won't be nearly as bad. It took me a little too long to learn that to benefit my own needs, hopefully it can help you.

I was just out at Ogilby the other day. They are doing road work on the main hardball and they have the road closed at the railroad tracks. Other than that, the dirt/gravel road that takes you to the campground is fairly solid. I was in 2WD and had no issues. There is one spot near the sign for the campground where it is sandy for about 100 feet as it curves to around toward the campground/Antenna. It's not real bad but it is sandier than the rest of the road. There are a few small dips along the way but nothing major if you take it slow. Overall I'd say the road is in good condition at the moment.

That is one of favorite places to camp...but with all the soft stuff that was there, I didn't want to take the new RV back there. Keep us posted on the conditions. Thanks for the report, we will check it out.

Were going out this Wednsday night and are in a 40' diesel pusher (for the first time) I took a class c back there the last couple years and could make it (barley) unless the road is much better I would camp else where, think it's (the road) good enough for a class A to get in?
Thx everyone

Went in over Halloween. Road is no problem. They put either ABC or some kind of hardpack down in what used to be the worst spots. There was one spot, about 50 yds long that is rutted, but all in all, no problem. It may get chopped up by the end of the year, but right now, good to go.
