While working on my 2019 T&R edition, I noticed the inside edge of my rims which had been on the rear before I got new tires and rotated them to the front. I did have the dealership install the new tires. Could a tire changer do this or is there another explanation?
Anyone ever have this issue?

The rim is likely rubbing on the control arm or shock mount bolt due to an incorrect rim offset.. Jack up the front end, and inspect the possible contact spots by turning to one lock, and then the other while spinning wheels.. I bet you can easily locate what's causing it..

Jack it up all the way and look at the clearance between the rim and the upper suspension arm.

It looks like there is rim grindings on the upper arm in the picture or the rim ground thru the paint on the upper arm.

The picture looks to be the left front so it looks like it is hitting when turned all the way to the left at full droop.

The factory trails & rock wheels are 14x6 on the front and 14x8 on the rear. So the offsets are not 5+2 or 6+1.

The 14x6 fronts will work in any position.

I can't confirm, I've looked multiple places and seeing what I said, and see what you said. Also seeing 29x10, 30x10, and 30x11 tires, all for the t&r package... I mean, would be awesome if it was straight forward. Regardless, if it is 8" vs 6" concept is still the same, the dealer doing a rotation on a 8"/6" combo is off the charts "jack ass" move.

Ran into the same concern on a clients 2019 TRE and he has been running the rear rims for over 3,000 miles now since I switched them back where they were designed to be ( on the rear) I told him he cant run the rear on the front- Ya you can, but you see what you received in return.

It will get you home in a pinch if the need be.
