Thought I would share as there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of info on the High Lifter edition RZRs.

I recently purchased a 2016 1000-4 and I was very disappointed in the ride quality. The car would do good in the big hits but was atrocious in the washboard and small chatter. After hours of trying to tune the stock suspension I bit the bullet and purchased the stage 3+ spring/crossover collar package from Shock Therapy. In a nutshell it is a night and day improvement. It's like riding on a pillow compared to the crap stock setup. I also gained probably 2" in ground clearance.

I'm just surprised that Polaris just wouldn't tune it like this from the factory.

I should probably add that I never touched the valving in the shocks.

Highlifters gave stiffer springs than regular 1k Rzr. It's made for mud therefore it's made to have a stiffer ride. Then you add outlaw tires. That make one rough ride

I know I've posted this a few times but trying to help out newbies!

I sent my four shocks without springs to Shock Therapy and now my 2016 XP1000 Highlifter two seater rides so much better.

I went with Shock Therapy, not because they are the cheapest, actually the most expensive if you go for the level 4 springs/parts and dampening modifications. But, I read the reviews on this forum and on their website and they are the only ones that have three different levels (no level 3, just 1, 2, & 4) of modifications for "just" the Highlifter. Most only talk about the standard XP1000 or the Fox and turbo models.

I first spoke with Justin, then mostly with Ernie. I sent them a detailed email on my wife and I; ages, weights, machine weight, riding style, existing SuperATV 3" to 5" bracket lift, and the speeds and terrain we ride in. Ernie said it was the most info he ever received.

Both he and Justin preferred if I took off the SuperATV bracket lift and would just run their updated shocks/springs, and for more lift go to bigger tires. But, I was running 20" of ground clearance, and where we are, ground clearance is everything.

So I compromised and set the front and back on the 3" lift bracket holes. The front shocks put me at 19" of ground clearance but the rears were set soft, and it was at 16.5". I spoke with Ernie, who was really cool, and he said to just adjust the spring tension, and maybe move the crossover rings. I did both and now I have 19" in the rear also.

The ride is so smooth and you can really feel the suspension working and the all four tender springs are longer and not bottomed out just sitting like the stock tender springs were.

The first picture is my son holding a rear stock shock. It looks like the tender spring has some travel but when it is on the machine, the top little tender spring is sacked out. It could easily be an aluminum spacer. You can see how much longer the tender springs are on the modified shocks and when they are on the machine, they still have lots of travel.

The square edge and log jolts are gone. It really makes it easy to ride all day.

The shocks look really cool with their new black and gold label on the reservoirs.

Shock Therapy is the best $1800 that I've spent!

I just want to say thank you to every person who has taken the time to post their experience with our kits. We put a lot of time and effort into testing them and they are kind of like our little kids so it feels good to know that they have gone out into the world on their own and made people happy. Thank you!
