Hey Jerry ..........

That's quite an unusual request. House rental for a weekend ??

I'd suggest .. .. Being you are interested in a house rental and the space it would afford you -- Set your sights instead on Winchester Bay.

I recommend you call the Winchester Bay Motel and rent their "Suite". This used to be the owners own residence - And in time past it is now a rental.

There you will have plenty of restaurants to select from - Just a short walk from your doorsteps.

I also prefer Winchester to Florence for riding on the Sand.

You will have to trailer to one of the staging areas though from the Motel. Just a short distance thru the Marina and past all the RV parks.

Otherwise - If your stuck on Florence - You might give Honeyman Park a call and see if they have any of their Yurts available in the back section. From the Yurt you can run your RzR to the Sand.

Good Luck - And hope you have some DRY weather during that time frame !!

And - Thats why I'm in Paradise ...... For the Winter .. .. :rofl3:

Dave

I forgot to comment on a house rental on the beach that is open to OHV recreation. There are no houses for rent on the beach that is open for OHV.

There houses south of the bridge where one can ride from your front door -- But there none for rent.

Winchester Bay is my vote !!

thanks dave... i have found lots of vacation rentals online, even cheaper after Nov. Just cant tell by the description if they are ride in/out. We have some friends that live down there, but are traveling with too big of a crew to stay with them. Rain just means gortex and less people. thanks for the info:beer3::beer3:

What about just renting an RV? One of my suppliers was telling me about this in the spring. Him and a group of buddies head down to Oregon every year and go riding for a week. They trailer down their units from British Columbia but they rent acouple of RV's in Oregon. The RV units are trailered into the campground and set-up for them prior to their arrival. They ride for the week (right from whatever campsite they are at) and then pack-up their toys and head north.

We rode Florence, Coos and Winchester a year ago and it was awesome all the way around. My vote would be for Coos or Winchester.

The KOA in Houser just north of Coos Bay Has rental cabins and you can ride to the dunes from there.

Plus the Coos Bay Dunes are way better then the Florence and way bigger then Winchester Bay.

When you pick where and when let me know I would be love to go ride.

thanks for all he input guys. looked at renting an rv a year or two ago, might as well buy one with all the charges and fees, it like a 1/10 of the cost. really do appreciate all the advice though. going to be headed down there the 19th.

if your into coos bay, i know of a rental house in the hauser area, lots of bedrooms, kind of by the KOA campground, it has dune access and a garage to park your toys in.It is located in what i would call the middle of the dunes, you can ride south to the boxcar area or up hemroid highway all the way out to spinreel, from the dunes at sprinreel you can see across the creek to winchester bay, there is a ton of riding in this area, you can also ride on the beach.all the dune areas are fun to ride and all have something different to offer, you will have a great time no matter where. The guys name is Bill(a fellow sxs/atv rider) the # is 541-218-7263 and you can also get on vrbo.com for some pics. just look for north bend oregon (i think ) Have a safe trip , Scott
