Review of Wolf Snout

I rode last weekend on very dusty country (dirt) roads with some friends. All of the adults were wearing our new Wolf Snout masks and our kids were making fun of us of course. We have the ones for no helmet or open face helmets and of course we do look funny when wearing them.

I have to say that they are the best addition I have made for riding in dusty conditions. My father suffers from black lung and couldn't ride in dusty conditions before we got the masks. After 57 miles of intense dust and mud logging roads, nothing but clean air made it through the mask. Six of us had the masks on and each of us did the post ride snoot blow expecting to get at least some dirt out, but there was none. The "kids" (they are in their 20's) blew and hacked up half of the trail.

The masks are very comfortable and allow you to freely talk or chew gum, even drink, but it has to be through a staw or hydration tube. My wife is an avid gum chewer and her only complaint was when she start chewing fast it would tickle her nose. She chews fast when I am about to do something that she feels is unsafe, so about all the time!!

When I washed them out it was amazing how much grime they released and had kept off our face and out of our lungs and mouth.

I am in no way affiliated with Wolf Snout or any vendor. This is just the opinion of a fellow rider on a new product that I purchased for me and my friends.

I made the mistake of not buying the goggles. All my buddies have the set (snout and matching goggles) so I wore some of thier goggles at Windrock last month for a little bit. Needless to say I will be purchasing 2 goggles to go with my snouts in the near furture.
Thanks! The googles are great for cold weather as well!

Also check out our new Pro Sport for those of you who use a full face helmet.
The new collapsible design will even fit in a street helmet.

these are VERY effective products. I, along with a couple of my friends, have been using these for the past couple of years and we all happy with them.

Another benefit is this...in warm weather you don't notice them making you hot, but in cold weather, it does a great job of keeping your mouth and nose warm.

It's nice when a product does EXACTLY as the company professes it will do.

Been using Wolf Snout for a couple years now. They don't seem to get hot and good air comes through fine.

Nope. There's a problem with the Wolfsnout. Tim allowed me to buy a pink one for my wife and lately she's been calling it a Pigsnout.

My timing sucks. Ordered on Sunday.............LOL. What really sucks is that I lost my brand new Wolfsnout on the trail this weekend, which is why I had to re-order. But I keep coming back. Cuz there is no alternative to Wolfsnout.
The reason I'm sold on Wolfsnout is that 1) they work 2) they're comfortable 3) washable. I hate nothing more than something squishing my nose onto my face. Don't have that problem with Wolfsnout.
How are these in heat and do they stay in place without a helmet?

SKINUM: I think that they would stay in place without a helmet maybe better
than with one. I say this because I personally have trouble putting my helmet
on with out moving the strap all over while putting mine on. I use an
adventure style motorcycle helmet and the face protector fits a little
closer than an offroad type and I find that this interferes also. My wife says
hers is slightly annoying too. This being said I think they are a good idea, and anyone in the Yuma Az. is welcome to try one of ours out{worn once and washed of course}. Would also be willing to sell @ half price?? but would
not ship. Mark

They're not hot, if that's what you're asking. Air flows through them fairly well. In fact, in a crosswind, you can feel the wind through it. Most of the time when I wear a helmet, it's a half helmet, and it stays on just fine.
