Don't want to tell you the wrong thing ,but i had to heat the clamps that hold window with blow dryer to get them on.Have not tried to take off yet.

 

I got a heat gun. I'll try that after supper. So much for 10 minutes on and off. Nice enough accessory once its on.

 

I pryed mine off, just do it by the clamps

 

push hard by clamps... you think its gonna break , but i've had it off & on many times already... good luck

 

On the window or on the tab on the clamp itself. Never got out to try the heat gun tonight. Really shouldn't need to. Thanks for the feedback.

 

Once ya get it off, use Liquid Teflon jell on the clamps and they will never stick again.It's a lubricant you can get at the hardware store, great stuff,many uses.

 

Good idea. Something is in order to make life a little easier with this thing.

 

Kind of on both. Last time out was last summer so its been awile......

 

The first time I pulled mine off I thought I was going to break it for sure. Now I simply hit the windshield from the inside by each clamp. Have removed it many times this way and it is still in one piece. I guess what I am saying is the windshield is much less brittle than you think.

 

I got the driver's side off last night so that I could drill holes in the dash to mount my Garmin. I used a heat gun and hope to get some sort teflon or graphite lubricant in place before snapping it back on. I sure hope these clamps soften up a bit over time.
