I am just wondering if anyone has dealt with anyone from RC2 Performance Filters? I am hoping to find the name/phone/email of the owner/CEO... I have had one of the most unprofessional and worst experiences with a manufacturer I have ever had in the last 4 weeks. The story is as follows:

Monday July 17 I placed an order for an filter for my RZR 900. I order directly from the manufacturer and paid about $10 more than it was listed on the Vendors page plus I paid $10 shipping (instead of free shipping). But they are geographically located near me and I wanted the filter to ride on Saturday. He said usually it takes a couple of days to ship plus about 3 to arrive so I said well I will just pay less and get it through the vendor if I can't get it this week anyway. He said he would push to get it sent that day for me if I needed by the weekend I said great thanks and placed the order which the charged me for immediately.

Friday the 21st comes and goes no Filter...I figured it wasn't a guarantee that UPS would get it to me by Friday even if they shipped it on Monday and I just let it go as bad luck.

The following week I left town and didn't follow up because I did receive a package (that a family brought inside I assumed was the filter and I didn't have them open it)...

I return on Saturday July 29 and still no air filter!

I called on Monday July 31 the profusely apologize for not shipping the product and charging me. They then throw in a free outer cover for my troubles and ship it that day no real explanation of why they waited 2 weeks and I had to call for them to ship it.

I receive it later that week (Thursday I think) and they had shipped it overnight which means they still didn't ship in on Monday or Tuesday! I did receive the outer filter however the packing order said 1 filter for RZR 900 but the filter didn't fit.

I called on Friday August 4th and explained the filter diameter was too large for the door in my airbox to close and the neck was pretty large as well....He said they must have sent me the model for the 1000 :banghead: They said I could keep the old filter and give/sell it to a friend. ( I guess this was a decent gesture ) but I still don't have a filter!!!!!!

I waited a week for shipping and started calling now (August 15) I can't get anyone to answer the phone during business hours and I still haven't received the right filter but have paid for it.

Well that is my story and obviously I am frustrated. I am just hoping someone has some connection or experience with them. If not I highly recommend you don't order directly from the manufacturer. Not a slam on the product just how terrible their customer service is.

Update: I finally got some to answer the phone this morning!

It is ridiculous because the majority of the time no one answers the phone and the recording lists a bunch of peoples names and extensions but not something descriptive like (Sales press 1...)
It just says Collin Jenna or.... I have no idea who I am supposed to talk to!

I just randomly pressed enough different extensions I got someone.

I said I wanted the filter or my money back immediately. The guy was super nice...I think it was the same guy that said he would send the prefilter and actually shipped it the last time. He says he looked it up in the system there is record of me calling on August 4th them filling the order and shipping it. So the order is closed but no tracking number which seems very very odd to me. How do you ship it and then not have a tracking number? So he says he has one in hand and is shipping it 2 day mail today so I will have it by Thursday.

We will see! So freaking frustrating!

Sorry for your frustrations bud. THIS is why I tend to sing the praises of the tried and true vendors who know their stuff and offer great customer service. I guess I'll just stick with the ones who have consistently done me (and others) right.

I agree to use tried and true resources. I just didn't have any place to turn. I only had the RZR for a week or two when I ordered it. The filter was nasty when I got it. There are no local dealers for anything around me. The only RC2 dealers I found were West Coast or were a week out to just ship it plus shipping time. I thought the manufacturer could reliably ship their own product.

I guess I was wrong. I am curious about retailers people like. Since then I have had great experiences with Super ATV but that's about all.

How many more issues or excuses do you want?
Who would use a "reuseable" filter anyway?
3800 miles with an R2C in my 800S. 4700 miles with an R2C in my XP1K. I ride in the AZ desert which kills filters. Absolutely no problems with this filter and it filters as well as the stock paper one. In fact, I purchased two of them for my XP1K and I wash mine in the prescribed manner and let dry. Then when it's time to pull the one off of my rig I have a clean one. I prefer to wash them then to blow them out with shop air.

So to answer your question: The guy with 500 hours in RZR's uses them. So do almost everyone I ride with.

Update: 8-17-16

So yesterday I received a package from RC2...

Again they shipped me the filter for the 1000CC engine. Even after multiple conversations explaining that I have received one that is too larger to fit in the box.
They even had me measure it and confirm the diameter. Mine is supposed to be 4 3/4" (I think definitely less than 5"). He said he had one here and he was shipping it overnight that day.

Yesterday I received the exact same filter that I got the first time with a diameter of about 5 1/2" so again it would not fit in my airbox! :banghead:

I called again...I got a hold of someone supposedly in management. He said he is refunding my entire purchase price plus shipping and will overnight the "Correct filter" again today so I have it for this weekend.
I once again confirmed that this is the filter for the 900 S should be approximately 4 3/4" diameter...

I have no idea what will happen but maybe I will at least get my money back.

Update: 8-22-17

As expected Friday came and went. No filter. As of today no refund either.

I called and again they said that it was shipped and a refund was issued. Not sure why I haven't seen either one yet.

He is supposed to email me the refund statement from accounting and the tracking number by close of business.

New 2017 Trail .... One of my first observations and disappointments is Polaris's design of the air box intake. I chose to remove the filter after each ride and lightly tap out the dust. It was incredible the amount of dirt and fine dust within the filter and air box? ... After three rides and seeing the amount of dust, a filter is never going to capture 100%, I opted for a S&B Partical Seperator. I only have one ride with the Seperator , but it appears to do an incredible job. Hardly any dust in the air box and no fine dust came out of the filter. Point being .... IMO quit screwing around with the filter and fix the intake issue. Drawing air from the tunnel area, which is not sealed does not make sense.
