I'm looking for a replacement front diff gear set for my 2012 XP 900, but the part numbers online are not intuitive. The differential's part number is 1332923, and the current parts fiche shows that it was replaced with 1334309. When I look at the gear case internals, the original gear set (part number 3235173) now shows to be replaced with 3235441. My concern is that my diff needs the open tooth design for the ring gear, whereas I believe the newer diff uses the closed tooth design, and the replacement gear set might now be the closed tooth type for the newer diff model. Can any vendor or dealer confirm if 1332923 and 3235441 are actually equivalent parts, with 3235441 also being the open tooth design? I don't want to order and get one with the new part number and find out that it won't work.

Any help to clear up my confusion would be much appreciated!

Well, after ordering, I can say that they are not the equivalent parts, and 3235441 will not fit in the 2012 XP 900 differential without machining the case.

Send those gears back and just try and find a good used diff from AZ cycle parts or someone parting out an XP900... or get a complete new replacement from @SuperATV for not a whole lot more than that ring gear cost ya...
