Installing the new Polaris Mirror with front and rear cameras , sweet !

 

Do you happen to have some pics of the whole setup? Seen this on the Polaris website, but only has a pic of the mirror. Wish they had some better pics of the complete unit.

The one on my yellow car is from the same company that made this one for polaris. But that one has a full blown Windows computer in it and it costs 1995.00 .

That thing is awesome.
The dealer was talking to me about upgrading my digital display to the new 2.0 version that includes back-up camera capability that my older unit lacks, but this looks like a better way to go.
Is the mirror assembly weather/water proof too? Also, is the front facing camera on the rear side on the mirror or is it a remote mount?

 

The front facing camera is on the back of the mirror , I will check to see if it's water proof

 

That rear camera is awesome for those with 5 points. I cannot see crap with my spare tire mount.

What's the approximate field of view

 

It's about a 45 degree angle

First it helps you back up safely , Second it records events in front of you , If your ever hit in a head on you will have the event saved , Could be a big help in a insurance case . Last but not least you can save your rides to a flash card.

 

OK cool I wasn't sure if it was just for backing up or if it recorded etc

I think it only records the camera being viewed on the mirror ,but I will test it out for you
