I wish I would have seen this before I sent him over $6000 for a long travel setup. It has been about a month now and still no package or tracking number that works. I have talked to him a few times and it is always the same story. One time he said it got sent back to him because the package was ripped open and a shock broken. He said he would have a new shock on monday and ship it out again. Still been 2 weeks and nothing. I am pondering my options right now. I was thinking about contacting walker evans and fox to tell them he is selling thier product and taking the money but not ever shipping it. If he cant get any mfgs to work with him he will definitely go out of business. Everyone esle should try that as well. If they get alot of calls saying the same thing they will have to do something.

Just my thoughts. I will let you know what happens after I talk to walker and fox. Open to other suggestions as well. .50 still sounds like th next option though.

I got their website to work, looks like a wild kit. I am sorry to hear about all this. It always sucks to see people get screwed. Thanks for the heads up. BTW I have had really good luck with Dragonfire Racing suspension. So far I have had no problems at all and they are always great to deal with.

I want to, trust me. I have already been looking into building and keeping a racer over there. I have some family in socal. It's just hard on the pocket, even if I had RZR and way to get it to races, it would still be a lot of money in plane tickets after a year of racing. Unlikely at this point.

Talked to a couple others as well. Randy at Walker Evans said he is pursuing it further and would let me know something Friday and then we will figure out a plan. Guy's, a few of you need to meet up and go visit his shop. Preferable at closing time. I would think you would get something, even if it's a pound of flesh. Whats he gonna do, call the police to tell them there are some really mad people there demanding the product or money he STOLE from you?? All of these amounts are in the serious felony range. Let him rip someone else off to get your money, preferable the people that "sell" him "stuff" that probably contributed to the problem.

Law enforcement are to busy with violent offenders, specially in that neck of the woods, to do little more than take a report and pass it on the detectives.

I bet that injury is just another one of Shads lies. I have read all the threads and cant believe he is using the same lies he told me LAST year! I ran into all the same crap he pulled on all the rest of you in Oct of 2007. Including "accidently" charging my credit card twice. I had to dispute the charge to get it back. It's really a shame because he has a great product and I met the guy in person. He even helped me set up my shocks at glamis after I installed my kit. But then when I needed spare parts, not even a return phone call. I'm done with that crook. If he did get an injury CARMA'S A BITCH!

Another Tech One happy customer!
We recently had the same problem with him taking 2500$ from us to build a cage for my rzr back in May. He kept putting us off saying that the cage came, but went to a different address, and then was sent back to him, and that he was gonna resend last week and gave me some sob story about him not seeing his kid and was on vacation with him. We actually felt sorry for him and believed him and gave him another chance, telling him we were giving him one more week to come up with the cage. He told us he would call us with the tracking # and never did, so we disputed it with our bank, and luckily we got our money back. A buisness that knows of him and what he's doing to people told us that Shad tries to put you off for 90 days and after that you can't dispute it with your bank and he ends up with your money and no product! He needs to get in trouble for this he's a lier,and a thief! DON'T TRUST SHAD AT TECH ONE CONCEPTS! HE'S A THIEF!

I agree... we sold items to him and not only did all 4 checks bounce!! We went in person last week 9/19/08 to see him and his shop is gone. His phone always goes to voice mail - since it's his cell.

We did find him right around the corner working as an installer for another off road business (which I won't mention here, since they are an innocent bystander)

but tech one concepts does not operate under their own business name anymore. At least according to the signage at the new building. (Literally the building right behind his old shop on Enterprise)

Shad was surprised to see me at his door step, since we drove from Phoenix to "drop in on him" He was even more surprised we wanted money since it was over 9 months ago and he "thought' we had been paid. But had all the statements and invoices we have been sending him..... Surprised?? I think not.


Unfortunately we will have to pursue him in court now. But as most 4x4 truck guys that got into the Rhino business, they were greedy and not planning for the down turn in the industry and now most are out of business and owe lots of money all around. Which will only affect other more stable rhino vendors and business.

I am still in need of my $6100 for the long travel kit he never sent. I got a few pieces of it and he disappeared. I am interested in knowing where he is now working if you will share it with me. I will definitely be seeking legal action. You can pm me here if you dont want the world to know. I know that walker evans is interested in his whereabouts as well. I am aware that his current employer had nothing to do with it. I would just like to find him like you did.

Since you like DFR so much, did you leave your clutch spacer in?

Perhaps you should call Elka Suspensions and ask to speak to Sam A or Erick, they help develop the shock ratios for the kits "We Don't Build".
Perhaps a third party might clear up the amount of design and engineering that DragonFire Racing puts into its kits.
