P90X recall clutch

I finally got my replacement clutch today for 21 XPT. I think I read somewhere that the new clutch, being heavier, was needing lighter weights than the charts that come with the clutch kits were indicating. I have 53/12/12% gear reduction, 35 " Roxxzillas, AA stage 1 tune and AA stage 3 clutch kit. Can anyone confirm one way or another?

First impressions are that it's better than the original. Engagement is super low (1650rpm) and smooth. It's a little lazy and readily hits the rev limiter at top speed (70mph). Rpm at 55mph is 7800, so it definitely needs some tuning. This is with AA high load helix and gold AA secondary spring.

I'm open to any input or suggestions, thanks

Mine was pretty much the same with the new clutch. I was already running stock weights tho, so just the spring change.

Cutch weight are dependent on elevation for maximum HP @ elevation-
I have not heard that the overall weight of the clutch is any heaver, and with the rotational mass ( if it is) would not effect weight /springs combination-
Primary is RPM sensitive

I don't know squat about the new vs old clutch, but from your rpm and speed numbers, it sounds like you have to much overall weight, but not enough of it is in the tip. What is your current magnet placement count?
Right now, it's the stock weights and stock spring in the primary. I have the AA S3 weights and silver spring that I can use.
This new clutch is definitely heavier than the original.
Ryan, I've been running the AA HD clutch since the Stop Ride started. I really like it except for the higher engagement and the noise. Top speed is 79-80 and launches hard.
I'm trying to at least get this new P90 clutch better than the old one with the AA kit so I can run it as a spare/backup. I was never happy with the original . I think you and I had some conversations about that.

I trying to learn here, would not a higher rotational mass affect rpm?
My elevation is 0-3000 ft

If it was I-- Myself I would weigh that clutch if it was a concern., and see the gram difference.
I would weigh it but the dealership kept it. They did let me hold them both in my hands, The new one is heavier, enough to feel a difference.
Ryan, did you ever try the AA weights in the new clutch? I did this morning. 0,0,2 with the silver /yellow stripe primary spring, I gotta say, it's pretty good. Way better than the first clutch. 8400 rpm at 55 mph and engages about 1950 rpm. Top speed is about 80mph. Doesn't accelerate as good as the AA HD clutch that I've been running but I would be fine with it doing what I do.

The AA limiter washer does not fit the new clutch.
I haven't tried the aa weights in the new clutch. My engagement rpm is around 1800 with the silver/yellow spring, so I'm happy. I pretty much just do low speed rock crawling. Just looking for good belt grip and low engagement rpm.
