Yes. Other than the lots of play it has 'pulling up' it's pretty decently set for not engaging brakes.

 

It's the brake pressure switch. Had the same problem with mine. Well known problem. Just bring to dealer and they'll change it. Had that code go on and off over 120 times on a trip.

 

This, that switch is a common failure point. When it happens stop and see if the brake lights are on, or if someone is following you ask them if they are on. When the switch goes bad it goes one of two ways: it either looks like you don't hit the brakes when you actually are (and then the machine has issues not starting), or it looks like you are hitting the brakes when you aren't (and the machine reports the code for two foot driving).

If it's new enough and under warranty, the dealer should cover it and fix it, but they may have to schedule it out or order the part and may not get to it right away. Or you could order the part and swap it out yourself, it's pretty straight forward and not a complicated procedure. If you have a good relationship with the dealer, you may be able to pull the bad part and get them to replace it under warranty without the hassle of taking the machine in.

 

Had the same happen to my 2021 Trail after a couple of months. The brake sensor was faulty. They replaced under warranty with a new part number 4014262 (old part number 4014225).
