When you rebuild the cvs, do you have to remove the driveshaft to do it or can you service them while mounted? I’ve been debating between rcv and Sandcraft for a little now and been leaning towards rcv as I love the idea of plunging cvs to help eliminate vibration and shock on the diff. But if I have to remove the entire shaft evertime it needs to be serviced, that will drive me nuts as these aren’t an easy install especially on the 4 seater like mine.

I’m looking to install and hopefully never remove again, so if the above is true with rcv, I’m buying Sandcraft.

In theory there is no need to ever remove the RCV shaft. As a practical matter, I suppose you would wear out the CV joints after some long time, but they are sealed and should last a very long time. But, if you need to work on the shaft, it would be much more difficult to try to do it on the machine. I removed mine and worked on it on the bench.
