My dealer just told me that is normal and will go away with time. I just bought mine tuesday and put about 50 miles on it today and it seems to be getting more quiet. Hopefully just needs to get broken in.
All RZR's do it for a while. Then the belt breaks in and it's not too bad. It's a lot worse in cold weather, so you need to just putt around for a few minutes when it's cold, and allow some heat to build up in the clutch area. Then all is good.
I think I'm having a similar problem with my RZR. Just picked it up Saturday from Abernathy's in Tenn. 2011 RZR standard. Anyways, went out for the first ride and immediately heard the noise once I was off the throttle at low speed. We're talking 10mph or less. Put about 20mi. on it but still had the noise every time it coasted below 10mph. It's kinda like a chirping sound. I was wondering if it meant a problem during engine braking so I figured who better to ask than the members of our great forum! I'm a first time owner so any help or answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
the noise is common in the 2011 models i have 250 miles on mine and it still makes it, talked with the guys at dragonfire and installing a clutch kit should make it go away when i get mine put in i will let you know
i dont have that noise with me 2010...but i do have a clicking/scrubbing/or some type of noise every rotation come from the rear passnger tire area..LOL sorry to get off topic..
